Thanks for the reviews! Susan is gay, although Hugh won't see much of that yet as he first has to suffer through this date...
‘You are going to tell me… right?’, Lisa asked as she showed the 3th dress at the 4th store they went too. ‘My honest opinion about this dress? Sure I am…’, Hugh a dit while giving her a full body scan with his eyes and then subconsciously licking his lips as Lisa turned around to montrer the very low-cut back. ‘Well… that too, because you’re British, but I actually meant your rendez-vous amoureux, date tonight…’ ‘Oh, well of course I’ll tell you, that is if toi won’t mock me too much if it doesn’t go well…’, he flashed her a small smile which she returned with one of her own. ‘Now… what does my being British have to do with giving my opinion about the dress?’, Hugh asked still a little confused from Lisa’s earlier remark. Lisa just smiled at him naughtily, ‘No American man would have to word his opinion about this dress as I could just look how tight his pants were, but toi British people seem to have this unnatural sexual control so…’ Hugh blushed and immediately straightened his pants a little, relieved that they were very loose so Lisa couldn’t tell that he wasn’t so British after all…
When Lisa put on the 5th dress she knew this definitely was the one for the House Christmas Party. She stepped out of the dressing room and showed the dress to Hugh who gaped at the beautiful woman in front of him… ‘You like it?’, Lisa asked playfully as she saw Hugh’s eyes reckoning over her body. ‘I-I… yes…’, he didn’t know what else to say. ‘Good...’ Hugh kept staring at her, ‘God… you’re so beautiful…’, he whispered which made Lisa blush and smile at the same time. ‘I guess this is the dress then.’, Lisa a dit happily. Hugh just offered her a goofy smile as he remembered a song he once wrote;
I wear sophisticated clothes
I say sophisticated things
Everything about me says
I'm a sophistication king
But when I'm with you
Can't seem to find my cool
Yeah, when I'm with you
I just sit there and drool…
After their little shopping adventure Hugh brought Lisa accueil as she had come with his car. ‘Thanks for coming along with me shopping today… and for bringing me accueil of course.’, she gave him a smile. Hugh smiled back, ‘I won’t admit this to anyone else, but… I had great fun shopping with toi today.’ Lisa laughed, ‘I knew toi would.’ ‘Yeah... toi know I never liked shopping, but I guess it’s all about who toi boutique with.’ Lisa blushed at the compliment, ‘Hmmm, plus toi got a rendez-vous amoureux, date out of this trip.’ ‘Ye-yeah…’, Hugh a dit not exactly knowing what to think about this rendez-vous amoureux, date yet. ‘Anyway… I had a great time too. But I guess I should get out of the car now as toi still have to change and everything for your rendez-vous amoureux, date tonight.’ Hugh briefly looked down at his clothes and then nodded, ‘I guess I’ll see toi tomorrow then.’ ‘You bet, that’s when I want to hear the whole story.’ Hugh laughed, ‘Don’t worry Liz, I’ll tell you.’ ‘Hmm, okay then… see toi tomorrow.’, she a dit and stepped out of the car as Hugh did the same. Lisa looked at him questioningly, ‘Why are you…’ ‘I’m British remember?’, he a dit and winked walking her to her front door. She blushed a little, opened the door and then turned around. ‘Ehm…’, she started. ‘Goodnight Liz, I’ll see toi tomorrow.’, he a dit and leaned in as his lips made brief contact with her cheek. ‘G-goodnight…’, she a dit all flushed as she also placed a soft Kiss on his scruffy cheek.
At exactly 8pm Hugh stopped his car in front of Susan’s place. As Susan heard the car she opened her front door. ‘Hey’, Hugh walked up to her. ‘Hey, let me just get my purse… then I’m ready to leave.’, Susan said. Hugh briefly scanned Susan’s body, she wore a nice black dress that ended just above her knees, she had straightened her long light-brown hair and accentuated her brown eyes with mascara, it was nothing really special but then again Susan didn’t need much to look nice… Still Hugh couldn’t help but compare Susan to Lisa, who had looked so completely incredible that afternoon, he had thought he was going to melt there and then because of her hotness. To him Susan had nothing on Lisa, sure she was a beautiful woman, but something was missing… something like that bright smile ou those big sparkling grey-blue eyes. ‘I’m ready!’, Susan walked outside and locked the front door as Hugh was shaken out of his thoughts. ‘G-good… let’s go then.’
Since he was shaken out of his thoughts Hugh had been what he called a little confused, but was better described as brain-clouding in love, as he stepped into the driver seat. Susan however didn’t get into the car and stood outside the passenger siège waiting for Hugh to open the door for her. Normally she would’ve never done that and just gotten into the car, but this rendez-vous amoureux, date was different… this rendez-vous amoureux, date was supposed to go according to a certain plan and Hugh had just made it very easy for her to actually let the plan succeed. Susan kept waiting outside until Hugh finally looked up and sideways to see her stand there, he quickly got out of the car and opened the passenger door for Susan so she could get in. Hugh could hit himself in the head as she gave him an angry look and a sigh. ‘I-I’m so sorry…’, he stumbled as he got seated again. ‘Just drive.’, Susan a dit pretending to be irritated.
Hugh had driven a few miles when he dared to look over to Susan and saw she was holding her stomach with one hand and her mouth with the other. ‘Are toi okay?’, he asked a little concerned as she just mumbled a little. ‘Little nauseous’, she a dit then took a deep breath, ‘tend to get carsick’, another deep breath, ‘please slow down a little.’ If Hugh didn’t feel bad already he certainly did know, Susan thought and smirked behind her hand… She actually felt a little bad for Hugh, but Stephen had made it clear that this was for his own good. Susan was supposed to ruin the date, but make Hugh think he ruined it so he would think he sucked at dating. How that was going to help Hugh’s already non-existent l’amour life she didn’t know, but Stephen had told her it definitely would and she believed him…
Hugh was happy they arrived at the restaurant as he had mentally kicked himself about 50 times already during the ride to it as he felt he was screwing up his date. He had made reservations at the same restaurant he went to with Mindy, and luckily Susan seemed to know and like the place too. ‘Ahh, Mr. Laurie, so good to see toi again. And who is this extremely beautiful woman toi brought with you?’, Mr. Hamley complimented Susan. Hugh blushed as he realized that he hadn’t even complimented Susan yet and offered a weak smile as he introduced Susan to Mr. Hamley. ‘Susan, this is Mr. Hamley, Mr. Hamley… this beautiful woman is Susan.’ ‘So nice to meet toi Miss Susan and I would really appreciated if toi both just called me Matthew.’ ‘Nice to meet toi too, Matthew.’ , Susan smiled. ‘Let me take your manteau Miss Susan.’, Matthew offered as Hugh mentally kicked himself again. How could he forget about so many basic things on one date? After Matthew took both their coats he led them to their table.
‘I will get toi our menu’s, but before that I would like to offer toi a free drink.’, Mr. Hamley said. Both Hugh and Susan smiled politely. ‘What would toi like to drink?’, Hugh asked Susan. ‘Well… why don’t toi order for me?’, Susan a dit a little playfully. ‘Would toi like.. ehm… some wine?’, Hugh asked not able to come up with any other drink. ‘I don’t drink.’, Susan replied as Hugh briefly closed his eyes trying to regain some strength. ‘O, I’m sorry… how about some orange jus, jus de then? And maybe a water carafe?’, Hugh tried. Susan nodded, ‘That sounds nice.’ ‘Alright then, orange jus, jus de and a water carafe it is.’ Hugh nodded and gave Mr. Hamley a polite smile as he went to get their drinks.
‘So Hugh… how did your shopping trip go this afternoon?’, Susan a dit trying to make some conversation. ‘Great’, Hugh smiled immediately thinking about Lisa again. Susan looked at him questioningly. ‘Well… ehm… I got myself a new suit and some shirts, but then I also met toi of course…’, Hugh tried, ‘… how about you…’ ‘I was getting a sweater for my father as his birthday is coming up…’, Susan a dit then stopped as Hugh nodded. This wasn’t going too great… ‘So ehm… toi live in LA.’, Susan tried to keep the conversation going. ‘Yeah… I ehm.. I moved here a few years il y a from London.’ ‘Hence the British accent.’ Hugh nodded and was happy Mr. Hamley interrupted them par serving their drinks as he felt he could sink through the floor any minute now.
During dîner they talked a little, but every time Hugh told Susan something she pretended to be really bored, annoyed ou irritated with his stories. Hugh picked up on that and tried to apologize, but that seemed to even irritate her further. Halfway dîner Susan excused herself to go to the bathroom where she couldn’t help but laugh and feel really sorry for Hugh at the same time as she called Stephen to tell him it was time to call her… During her stay in the bathroom Hugh was sadly picking his nourriture and rubbing his hand against his forehead thinking how he never ever wanted to go on a rendez-vous amoureux, date again. There was a beautiful woman sitting in front of him, she was nice, smart, funny even, but he just screwed it up.
Hugh was still sadly staring at his nourriture when Susan returned and started to eat the rest of her nourriture as she tried to make a little conversation until her phone rang. ‘O, I’m sorry… I have to take this one, it’s work…’, Susan a dit and excused herself again. Hugh rubbed his head in his hands again as he knew what was coming, and indeed after a few minutes Susan came back with the dead sentence. ‘I’m sorry, but that was my boss, there is an emergency at work… so I really need to go. It was nice meeting you, sorry that I have to leave so soon, they already send a cab over here so.. ehm… I’ll call you, maybe we can reschedule. Thanks for dîner anyway. Bye Hugh.’, she a dit all in a rush as she picked up her bourse, sac à main and walked to the entrance to get her coat. ‘Bye Susan…’, he a dit softly knowing that she wasn’t going to call him as she didn’t even have his number, he just had hers…
Poor Hugh... ou is it really for his own good?;) Review, please!
