So I haven't read the interview and don't plan too. But the negativity is annoying, so here's a little off topic thought. The writers always seem to give us a few good Delena scenes through the season, but leave the amazing scenes to the final. (does it say anything about their thoughts that they always focus on Delena in finale, not stelena?) Read an interview with Julie about how they realized how many fans of Vicki and Anna were devastated par their deaths, and so brought them back (I'm thinking temporarily). It gives me a little encouragement that they might not want to leave the majority of fans who l’amour Delena without a happy ending. They better not. I just l’amour how selfless Damon is I was going through the livres and came to this beautiful scene between Elena and Damon. They share this incredible scene after Elena exorcises the malach from him. It was almost too late for him. Elena uses her powers,which includes a very sweet and very gentle kiss. She proceeds to heal him of the many layers that surround his heart. Damon is filled with horrible sorrow and regret for the times he had hurt her. He vows to help her find Stefan. . .

His entire journey had been, "I'm not worthy of you" and at the end of the season, as he's dying, she tells him, "Yes, toi are; you're worthy." For her to be able to montrer that in a sweet kiss, telling him that she likes him the way he is and he doesn't need to change for her, I thought was really important and a really nice ending to that journey.
