I haven't watched the premiere yet, since I leave in the UK but I've watched DE's scenes and Im so happy!:D They had flirty, sweet, funny etc scenes. One thought that came to mind immediately in the collier scene was the I l’amour toi of 2x08. I'm convinced Elena remembers that, after dying in 2x21. She doesn't want to admit it yet. I believe that Elena fell in l’amour with Stefan which was rushed btw but she fell in l’amour with who she believed Stefan to be. I posté this on the rant thread but wanted to put it here too. In light of the phone call scene upsetting some DE fans, I wanted to say something. The collier scene was actually really uplifting for me. I believed Elena when she a dit she was happy when Damon gave her the necklace. Damon is the only one who can make her happy and smile like that, even in the toughest of situations. That was enough to do it for me. I'm proud of Delena and always will be. Okay so for me, this premiere was no where NEAR as mind-blowing as S2, but I think that's to do with the million cliffhangers we had last time. So i'll let them off!
LOVED our Delena scenes. Prolonged eye-contact, a closeness, fantastic chemistry as always. And OH MY DAYS, Elena actually SMILED a genuine smile awithDamon in the collier scene. That almost never happens to her lol!

Damon has grown so much. When he was going to ask Andie to get him plus wine and she shot him down I fully expected him to compel her, but he just went to do it himself (maybe because he heard Elena but it seemed like he heard that after he was up).
And I l’amour how he didnt use Stefan killing Andie to try and turn Elena against Stefan. He really just wants his brother back and for Elena to be happy.

After the last episode of season 2, I have the belief that Stefan loves his brother much plus than Elena. I was really touched that even though he showed no emotion when Damon mentioned her, he instantly insisted that he should be the one to get Damon to stop following them. Apart from the Stefan/Klaus ripper story, DE have been promoted plus than anything else in the run-up to 3x01; most of the interviews, promos, webclips, and new episode stills have been about them. My feeling for Epi 1 was that the writers wanted to give all the fandom's a little love. Lizzie_job5, toi should not give up hope. No matter how cheesy, boring, and predictable Stefan is going to be, just hand in there. We have Damon and a couple of shirtless scenes. For Stelena, they are not going to be together forever. It's a triangle so DE needs to start, ou else this series is just full of lies.

Now, to make it even worse, Stefan had to call Elena and make hot on his trail again. She is bound to kill herself to find a vampire that will never die, and does not want to leave the blood side. Even thought she sees the murders, she still think Stefan is a saint.
