Let's just get this straight before toi go harping on my article because I'm a Twitard. Because I'm not. I'm just getting a little sick of Bella cygne being called "too perfect". She's perfect about to the extent that I am a Twilight fan. Which is to say, not at all.

OK, Let me tell toi a story about a REAL Mary-Sue.

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Anastasia B. Ana was in 6th grade, she was tiny for the age of ten (she skipped kindergarten), she was absolutely adorable, and she was in Gifted and 7th grade math. Boys all loved her, and she could crochet, knit, and she had perfect handwriting. She could play the clarinette well and she was an avid reader. She was also very religious and sweet, never disrespecting her friends.

Does Bella cygne seem so perfect now? And now let's see what Mrs. Cullen/Swan has to say for herself.

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Bella Swan. She was beautiful and all the boys wanted her. She was smart and was horrible to her friends. She could play no musical instrument, and her handwriting is anybody's guess. Her religion is not mentioned enough to stick in my head, and when she got a boyfriend, her Friends left her only because she left them. She relies on her boyfriend for everything, and when he leaves her, she jumps off cliffs to hear his voice.

Does she sound so Mary-Sueish compared to Anastasia? And here's the twist: Anastasia is an actual person. Mary-Sues aren't just in books.

Here's my conclusion:

Bella cygne was written to be perfect. The small hints of her leading a perfect life, having no problems and consequences, etc. were meant to make her perfect. She was written as a Mary-Sue, probably unintentionally, and yet failed miserably.

PS... to zanhar1: Thank toi for making that point in my original draft. I changed it and really appreciate the tip. Thanks!

The two Bellas: Bellatrix Lestrange from Harry Potter and Bella cygne from Twilight are being compared. These are 50 reasons why I think Bellatrix beats Bella.

1: Most important: Helena Bonham Carts vs. Kristen Stewart... is there really any competition??
2. When people act as if Bellatrix is incapable of doing certain things, it just makes her fight harder. When people act as if Bella is incapable of doing certain things, she becomes all depressed.
3. Bellatrix is exceedingly loyal. For a time, Bella couldn't choose WHO to be loyal to (Edward ou Jacob)
4. Bellatrix went into Azkaban for--what...

Great:
Wizard-on-wizard combat in the films
Writing battle scenes was never Rowling’s strongest suit, but her fight scenes became electric on the screen, plus ou less literally: The effect when two thrown spells locked in mid-air is particularly splashy and creative, with the clash of energy throwing off heavy, wet detritus that looks like paint. Scenes like the Battle For Hogwarts at the end of the series, the Ministry Of Magic showdown in Order Of The Phoenix (with good and evil wizards zipping around as light and dark clouds, and the sense that plus action was...

Lesson 1: PROPS!!! Lots and lots of props!

Harrypotterlurvfeverweasley_ravenclar-granger gave me hommages for my comments:
“Hi I really like the way toi verbally attack Twilight fans. The way toi threatened their lives par tracking down their IP address and sending them cryptic letter describing how you’re going to kidnap them in their sleep and dismember them limb par limb was so cool. Don’t worry; I’ll have your back if they call the police. I know you’re totally justified because I hate that book too.”

YOU MUST KNOW THAT I DON'T AGREE WITH ALL OF THESE POINTS

Okay, SO many people are saying that Harry Potter is better than Twilight. That’s SO not true!
Twilight is a timeless tale of love, then l’amour Lost and found again. It shows how l’amour can get toi through everything. It’s such a sweet story about the things people do for love, like Bella goes all the way to Italy to save Edward from the Volturi, for instance.
Also, Twilight is MUCH plus creative, I mean, Stephenie Meyer created a new kind of Vampire, instead of just using a stereotypical, Dracula type Vampire. I mean, they sparkle, how...
