Serena
I sat with Tia and her friends, but I could feel Shaun's stare.
After school, I was in a hurry to get in my car, so I didn't see him coming as I fumbled for my keys.
"Serena, how strongly are toi opposed to seeing a movie with me this weekend?" he asked.
I looked up, at first not believing what I was hearing. I was aware that it was Thursday. Very aware.
"Unopposed," I said, so happy. Inexplicably happy, as I met his eyes. They weren't black, just a very dark brown.
"I'll pick toi up," he said.
"Come to this address," I said, scrawling my rue and house number on a piece of paper my hands had reached when I was searching for my elusive car keys. I added my number, saying,"and here's my number."
I was so incredibly happy as I handed him the piece of paper.
"Here's mine," he a dit softly, écriture his own number down on the other half of the paper, tearing it and handing me the half he'd written on.
Tia
She'd a dit yes!
I was waiting in my car "conveniently" parked three down from Serena's.
And it was all thanks to me.
It was turning out to be a better jour than I hoped for.
I smiled smugly to myself as I pulled out of the parking space.

Sitting right where toi are
toi have no claim on me
I know my own path
I am my own guide
toi are nothing to me
No matter how toi try
What do toi care?
If I'm not doing it right
I'm not following you
I know my own path
I am my own guide
toi don't know me
No matter how toi try
Why are toi here?
toi know I don't want you
I told toi to leave me
I am my own path
I know my own guide
toi can't mold me
No matter how toi try
Why do I feel compelled to write angsty poetry? I swear I'm not even that angsty. MDR Oh well, I hope someone out there enjoys it.
