I got back from the dance late that night. I had to sneak in because my parents didn't know where I was ou who I was with. Ever since my mom was my age, she hated Nathan's mom. Same with our dads. Something about jealousy ou something. My mom is just uptight and hates almost everyone. Exept for Alani's mom. But Alani's mom is everyone's friend. I slipped into my room through a window and was about to get into lit when my light was flicked on. There stood my mom in the doorway. "Katani Faith Cassieoela, where the hell have toi been?!?!" She screamed at me. "School dance." I said. Then my dad walked in. "You're surprised that she snuck out?" He asked "No, just angry that she did. Who were toi with sweetie?" She returned. "My friends. I can have Friends even if toi had only one when toi were my age!" I told her. "Which ones of your friends?" She asked me getting angrier par the second. "All of them. Alani, Akiko, Harmony, Dylan, and Nathan." I spoke. Now she looked really mad. She just has cold feelings for Harmony and Nathan's mom. My dad isn't as harsh as he used to be about their dad, but there was still lingering hate. "Princess, calm down. She went to a party with her friends. Cupcake, did your friend Alani plan it?" My dad spoke to my mom and me. "Yep!" I told him. "Alright! Bet it was a pretty awesome party then!" He told me. He knew Alani had a gift for parties. She's like her dad in that way. Mom wasn't as jazzed as my dad was, but that's because they are such polar opposites, they're made for eachother. "Yeah, and I happen to have asked Nathan to that dance." I a dit happily. "WHAT!?!?!?" My mom screached. My dad immideatly ran to the other side of the house. "I asked Nathan to the dance." I repeated. "You will not rendez-vous amoureux, date that no good Cameron boy!" She yelled. When she called people par their last names, toi knew she was mad. "Why? Because toi hate his mom?" I returned. "Yes. Exactly. Go to your room!" She yelled. " I'M ALREADY THERE!" I protested. Then i slammed shut my door and locked it.
FF 1 DAY
I snuck out. Again. I went over to the town garden, which is where I texted Nathan to meet me. When he got there, he told me he was grounded for it, too. "She a dit that you're no less of a bossy pain in the cul, ass than your mom." He told me. "No way, she is so much plus of a pain in the ass!" I replied. We laughed. Then we kissed. We took a walk through the shrub maze, climbing over dead ends. I am nothing like my mother. I am way plus like my dad. My mom would have evacuated the dead end. My dad would have done what we did. We ran and giggled and kissed and stuff. We were being who we wanted to be. I would've thought my mom would grow plus tolerant over the years. Sometimes she's very much like my dad. But only when there are circumstances like there were in episode 12 of that reality show. And after she eats cookies. She really likes cookies. "This is like our own local Romeo and Juliet story." I spoke. "Let's hope that we don't die, though" He replied. I let out a little laugh. He left after an heure ou so and so did I. I slipped back into lit and fell asleep. My door was still locked, but after an heure of sleep, my mom picked the lock on the door. "Katani, sweetie," She started, "I'm sorry about yesterday. I overreacted. rendez-vous amoureux, date who toi want to. I'm okay with it." I smiled. "Thanks." I a dit grinning. I hugged my mom and went to sleep. Today was a great day. Great days always follow terrible ones.
