Ah, the Sega Genesis. Such a classic video game system that so many of us played when we were just kids, and it's time I started montrer some appreciation for this fantastic system.

But before I do, for those of toi who aren't familiar with the console, the Sega Genesis was released par sega around the late 80's and was meant to compete with Nintendo, and it actually WORKED!

Yes I a dit that, another human being company actually had a chance to beat Nintendo.

My reaction: &*#!$%*@&%$&@*W$%&@!!!!!!!!!!!!

But to avoid wasting my time and for toi to get plus detailed information, just go to Wikipedia ou something, they'll tell toi some really cool honest facts!

Mostly honest anyways, yeah I'm kidding.

So first off, the rules. Number 1, I can only liste games I HAVE PLAYED, so no Gunstar Heroes, Rocket Knight Adventures, ou Alien Soldier. (Also See honorable mentions later in this list.)

Number 2, It has to be good, that should go without saying.

And finally, 1 game per series, ou Sonic would dominate this list.

But let's get to what toi came here for, my haut, retour au début 15 Sega Genesis Titles!

#15. Dr. Robotnik's Mean haricot, fève Machine.
This is the only "WHAT? @__@" entry on the list, a classic puzzle game on the Sega Genesis based on the AOSTH cartoon, with no Sonic in it, which technically means it's NOT a Sonic Game.

But seriously, I KNOW this game is just a Poyo-Poyo Pop clone, I KNOW it's difficulty is cheap as hell, and I sure as hell know that this game doesn't REALLY belong here, but I really l’amour this game!

It has funny lines, (Kind of) Clever robot designs, a funny, silly, and basic story to understand, a cute little étoile, star character that helps toi in the game, lots of modes, AND ONE OF THE BEST SOUNDTRACKS IN VIDEO GAME HISTORY! Seriously, look up the exercise mode music, it is BOSS!

And that is plus than enough for Dr. Robotnik's Mean haricot, fève Machine to make it at #15 on this list. :)

And despite the horrible cartoon it's based on, I am not counting anything BUT the game, so no matter how bad the toys/show/pillows (LOL) were, I only rate how good the GAMES were.

#14 Comix Zone.
Tell me, what happens when toi have a unique idea and decide to make a game on it? toi get Comix Zone.

This game takes place in a Comic where toi have to beat the game (Or should I say comic) To get out of it and defeat the bad guy who trapped toi in there.

The graphics are colorful and wonderful, and has a lot of fast-paced fighting action! Kind of like Streets of Rage honestly, and in a good way too! ^__^

Sadly though it's another one of those games that is extremely hard.

How difficult? Well.....

Me first time playing: ***** ********** ***** ****** *******!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But still, with a very cool idea executed very well, funny humor, and lots of intense action, Comix Zone gets number 14 on this list.

#13 Alex Kidd In The Il était une fois Castle.
Most underrated game ever, period. Alex Kidd takes place in a planet called Rock Paper Scissors where toi have to defeat this.....Bad guy who takes control of the kings castle, and man is this game fun.

There is very colorful graphics and lots of machines that toi use to help toi in the game, my favori being the helicopter.

And if there was a game on this liste that would make the haut, retour au début 10 Genesis soundtracks, this would be VERY high on that list, as every song is pretty long and very catchy.

There is lots of moments in this game where toi have to beat people in a game of Rock Paper Scissors and again, it's a very unique concept, and also very fun!

Also the music........It just makes me cry with nostalgia. IT'S JUST SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!

And this is also when games on this liste get better than Nintendo's! So yeah, Alex Kidd is very fun, play it.

#12 Flicky.
What happens when a game company decided to make a game that pretty much never ends, but keeps toi there with an extremely catchy song?

Well we get #15 on this list, and then we get this game. Flicky is one of the animaux toi see in the Sonic series when toi open up the trap at the end of a level, and the objective is to save all these cute little chicks while avoiding enemies.

This game is addicting as hell, and I really MEAN that, I have spent hours on this one game, trying to beat it, but with how many levels I've seen, I actually think that's impossible.

The game is like Pac-Man in a way, teasing toi with very hard difficulty, tempting toi to get farther, when the levels seem infinite.

Every level gives toi a different item to throw at the baddies to stop them, and even though they all do the exact same thing, it's a nice idea.

But the reason it's only number #12 is, of course, the absolute BULL**** DIFFICULTY!

Many of the enemies come out of absolute NOWHERE in the later levels and it doesn't matter if toi have the reflexes of the freaking Roadrunner, toi WON'T WIN!

Sad that many games on this liste take that old 80's concept of making a game way harder than it should be just to make it seem longer than it really is.

But when toi combine that with actually lots and lots of levels..............

HOLY Jésus MOTHER OF CHRIST PLEASE TAKE OUT MY cœur, coeur NOW AND I MEAN IT RIP OUT MY SOUL FROM THIS VERY PLANET AND WIPE OUT MY EXISTANCE BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!! (What was I thinking? o_O)

But with a catchy song, pretty beautiful graphics, and an global, ensemble addicting gameplay, Flicky makes it at #12
on this list.

#11 Altered Beast.
Unique concepts executed correctly is what makes games great, and in this game, that's exactly what happens.

The game starts out as the god Zeus rises toi from your grave to save a princess, and the objective is to kill 3 white pigs to turn into a beast and defeat the boss. toi don't HAVE to do this, but if toi want to live, then DO IT! >:D

Each level toi transform into a different beast to defeat a cool looking boss every stage, there being 5 stages total.

This game's atmosphere and graphics look very detailed, making every stage really, well, Pop out! And it gives the intended tone of every stage seem really obvious, and that is good if toi don't know.

But be warned, when toi get to the 2nd boss, the octopus, just shut off your system. HE IS ANNOYING AS ALL HELL. Yes he is pretty easy, but if toi didn't know how to beat him when toi were a kid, toi know how I feel.

F**KING OCTOPU**YCAT. >:(

But long story short, with nice music, a cool idea, epic action, and with loups garous throwing plants that are on fire.....(Wait WAT??) Altered Beast makes number #11 on this list.

#10 Arrow Flash.
toi know what I hate about l’espace shooters? They are often lazy. For example, this is your average game maker in the 80's and 90's.

WELL SURE LET'S MAKE A l’espace SHOOTER! IT'S SO EASY JUST SLAP ON SOME DOTS ON A BLACK SCREEN AND CALL IT SPACE! :DDDDD

But when toi make l’espace ACTUALLY DETAILED, toi know you're doing something right. And this is where Arrow Flash comes in.

toi control a spaceship destroying others. Basic fun, another thing people mess up even these days.

We don't need a complicated plot WHERE KING CHARLES OF ARAGON THE 4TH IS SENT TO DEFEAT A GIANT FORTRESS par COLLECTING 6 DIFFERENT TREASURES, FIGHTING dragons AND

No, just no. If toi can do it right, great! But it's often done wrong.

I am not saying toi shouldn't try, but don't make a story too complicated, ou toi won't care, which toi don't want if toi want players to be interested in your story.

But enough of that, Arrow Flash is Cool basic shooting them up fun at it's finest.

The graphics, even though you're in space, are actually very detailed!

l’espace DETAILED!??! ZOMG THE WORLD HAS ENDED!!!!!

But one of my favori parts of this game is how there is an option to make your super weapon, (Think of it like a super bomb, which is in many shooters.) CHARGE!

Yes, toi can charge your super weapon in 3 seconds.

WORLD ENDED AGAIN ZOMGZOMGZOMGZOMGZOMG

(How does the world end twice anyways? Eh, who cares. F**K LOGIC. :D)

toi can also transform your ship into an offensive and defensive ship, which is very fun and cool.

Combine this with epic boss fights, epic music, and DETAIL IN SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE,
Arrow Flash makes the haut, retour au début 10! ^__^

#9 Ristar.
RISTAR ONLY #9 BOO JARED I HATE toi DIE!! >:(

Calm down dude, I just don't get WHY people like it so much.

This game is.....Very Avant-Garde. I mean, a lot of the bosses are just weird, the story, toi being a étoile, star saving a land, is a bit cliche, and GOD DAMN THAT 4th BOSS! >:(

But this game is so freaking FUN!

Once again, the graphics really pop out at toi and the musique is absolutely fantastic. ^__^

toi control Ristar, a étoile, star creature with really long arms that will be the main........EVERYSINGLELASTGOSHDARNTHING
In this game, but it is executed very well here, and is also quite fun to mess around with.

Actually the way toi use them is he stretches them, often being used to grab and throw things.

Sorry, I just really wanted to use that joke. :(

There is also a power in the game when toi see this thing with a handle on it, and toi can do a really flashy and epic looking fly attack!

So yeah, toi should really play this game. It IS a bit overrated, but I still really l’amour it! And that is all that matters. :)

#8 Kid Chameleon.
toi put on a helmet. toi transform into something epic and wipe out billions of enemies and levels.

Yeah, Kid Chameleon has the BEST idea on this liste alone! I mean, that's all gamers want, a cool idea done with effort!

I can't really say much more, but what I can say is that this is a really really REALLY REALLY long game, I am talking Pac-Man long, longer than the longest of Flicky.

toi are a kid in the 90's, toi will never finish this.
toi live in heaven, toi will never finish this.
toi could be in nowhere land, toi won't beat it!

Think of it as Flicky on steroids.

But still, this game is just so damn FUN! With so many different powers and epic musique and awesome graphics, this game makes the haut, retour au début 10 without any competition.

I MEAN, WHAT OTHER GAME DO toi KNOW WHERE toi CAN TRANSFORM INTO F**KING JASON VORHEES!?

Yeah, I thought so.

Seriously though, this is where we reach the best games not just on the genesis, but the best EVER! I CAN'T TELL toi HOW MUCH FUN THIS GAME IS!

It's like toi putting 90 monster energy drinks in a blender, shaking it, and having it explode on your face, enough said.

#7 Alien Storm.
I'm telling you, Rambo the video game, enough said.
Alien storm takes toi controlling one of 3 characters defeating waves and waves of aliens, and it is epic!

There is even some sections in the game that work like an FPS, and that was AMAZING in the 90's!

The Sega Genesis even says, "Arcade Quality" on it and this is one of the games that really proves that, and a console that had arcade quality in the 90's was, how should I say it.........

Seriously though, Alien Storm is a perfect game for any player who just wants non-stop action, and of course, it's hard as hell. But regardless of that, good luck! ^___^

#6 Phantasy étoile, star 4
Tell me if this sounds exciting. You're a kid in the 90's, and toi are a huge fan of an amazing RPG series on your favori system, and it's getting a sequel with even better graphics.

But if you're not familiar, Phantasy étoile, star is one of the best RPG series of all time! It's funny, cool, long, epic, AND toi ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING!

An RPG where toi know what you're doing, that alone gets it on this list, but there's more.

The graphics in this game are AMAZING! They even a dit they had a special graphics chip just for this game because it was too advanced for the Genesis!

Long story short, one of the best RPG's ever, play it! ^__^

#5 Mortal Kombat 2.
Jax, Liu Kang, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Sonya, Reptile, MORTAL KOMBAT! DADADADADADADADADADADA

Do I even need to EXPLAIN this entry? IT'S FREAKING MORTAL KOMBAT! One of the best fighting games ever made, and it got a sequel.

Challenges toi to a fight, and the whole fighting thing takes place again.

Sure, it's basic, but it's very fun!

MK2 also introduced even plus characters, secrets, levels, music, and stages. But most importantly, plus EPIC FATALITIES AND STAGE HAZARDS! >:D

My favori is throwing somebody in the acid pool. ^__^

But wrapping this entry up, it's fun, epic, cool, AND IT'S FREAKING MORTAL KOMBAAAAT! DADADADADADADAADADDADDAADDADADADADADDADDAAD!!!!!!!!

But seriously though, Golden Axe is such a classic game. toi control one of 3 characters (Sound familiar? Yeah, games have a fetish with the number 3. Seriously though why is IT ALWAYS 3!?) Defeating tons of enemies and trying to kill the Death Adder.

A cool mechanic in this game is magic. Basically, every time toi see these robbers, hit them and they will drop potions. The plus potions toi have, the plus deadly and epic looking the magic is.

Each character has different power, speed, and magic and really makes the characters stand out!

I hate it when games just make 20 characters and do nothing unique with them, and it happens all the time! :(

(I'm looking at toi Mario Kart.......)

#3 Super fantaisie Zone.
Oh....This one. One of the best video games ever made, literally in my haut, retour au début 5, we have the fantaisie Zone series. I am literally crying right now, I l’amour this game.

toi control Opa-Opa, a flying ship, defeating these enemies called Minions and finding out who is behind the dark forces.

Now, the reason this game is absolute boss is not only for awesome epic 16-bit gameplay at it's absolute finest, it's catchy upbeat music, it's thousands of helpful awesome upgrades, but because of it's ending scene. It's just so touching, see it for yourself, I don't want to say ANY spoilers.

Long story short, Super fantaisie Zone stands out up there as one of the best games of all time in my eyes, and is a heavily overlooked title.

Also a fun experiment I made to see if toi have a soul! ^__^ It's easy and fun, so listen up kids!

Step 1, play Super fantaisie Zone. (You can use an emulator.)

Step 2, beat the game.

Step 3, try to see if toi felt anything, If toi didn't, not only do toi not have a soul, but toi are most likely going to hell.

#2 Gain Ground.
Yeah, I lied, THIS game actually has the best idea on this list. toi are put into a computer program called Gain Ground and have to beat waves and waves of enemies and bosses to escape it.

This is a game so hard to describe though, toi really have to just see it for yourself, so I can't say much.

BUT I SWEAR IF toi FORGET IT'S NAME I SHALL SEND A HOMING missile TO YOUR HOUSE AND toi WILL DIE!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously though, this is one of the most uniquely designed games I've ever seen, and it REALLY knows how to make catchy music.

Go to Youtube now and look up, "Gain Ground Stage 1 Music" for some of the best musique ever.

#1 Sonic The Hedgehog!

Yeah, who didn't see this one coming, I mean honestly! But the reason I l’amour the FIRST game the most is just...Well, I honestly don't even know. And don't think I chose the first game because THEFIRSTONEZALWAYSTHEBEST:DDDDD
But yeah. I always feel plus alive when playing the first game and it's plus enjoyable to me. Also, there wasn't INFINITY MILLION AND A HALF GODDAMN CHARACTERS TRYING TO COLLECT PORN DVD'S, GOING THROUGH LABYRINTHS, AND SHOOTING GIANT ROBOTIC BULLS WITH GUNS.

Seriously though, the first game just FEELS better to me, if that makes any sense. Also, I give Green colline Zone the award for the best looking level on the entire system! I l’amour the night theme of Green colline Zone so MUCH! THIS GAME IS FRESHER THAN MENTOS! ^___^

Lastly, Sonic The Hedgehog was the first game I have EVER played, the seconde being Pac-Man. The seconde game was awesome, but it didn't have any REALLY REALLY cool looking levels. I mean, it did, but not as good as Sonic 1. And par Sonic the Hedgehog 3 there was DEATHEGGGOTTAGOFASTKNUCKLESTAILSANNOYINGDOUCHEBAGROBOT and of course, Robotnik outspeeds Sonic.
