Pretty much in no specific order. Enjoy!

CLANNAD + {CLANNAD After Story}
Easily an instant classic, and needs plus publicity. Very touching with memorable characters. I don't recommended this animé for anxious people (mostly boys) who aren't comfortable with a steady plot with not too much going on until later in the story. WARNING: 99% chance of uncontrollable crying. Good luck, my Friends xD
Main themes: Comedy, romance, drama, slice of life
Kuroshitsuji (I + II)
I have been a fan of this series for a long while. It's origins are Victorian Era England, which makes it enjoyable for anyone who's a bit tired of the same-old school girl story. Kuroshitsuji is very intriguing and taught me a lot about history, especially the manga. I recommend this series for all audiences, but be wary of some slight implied yaoi (though it's not actually a theme). A bit melancholy; about 43% chance of tears including the seconde season (Kuroshitsuji II).
Main themes: Horror, comedy, action, mystery
Ouran High School Host Club
Being one of the stepping stones for great anime, Ouran has it all. I recommend this animé for all audiences, though be wary for a majority of implied yaoi scenes (though it's not a theme). This is a very elegant series, roses, fancy thé cups, the whole deal. But the plot that lies within is what gets all of my Friends (and even my little brother!) hooked. Speaking of which, I have showed this series to a variety of people as guinea pigs, and the results have all been the same: "I l’amour it."
Main themes: Comedy, romance, drama
Hetalia: Axis Powers
This series has become wildly populaire in a short amount of time. Originally a web comic, Hetalia focuses on comedic reenactments of World Wars I and II using the stereotypes of countries personified into characters (mostly men.) IMO, this series gets a little too much hype than it's really worth, but I enjoyed it anyway. I recommend this series for all audiences. I highly doubt the possibility of any viewer crying.
Main themes: Comedy
