The sun was setting on the Central Park Zoo. The police and reporters have left, so all was quiet again. Alice came back from the police station, but is still on the haut, retour au début of the suspect list. The police are keeping a close eye on her, and escorted her home.

All the animaux were gathered around the tables nearby the giftshop. Skipper, his fellow comrades, and Marlene were on haut, retour au début of a table, tableau looking down upon their neighbors.

Skipper silenced the crowd and spoke.

"As toi all should know, Darla's life has been taken just last night."

He was interupted.

"Who's Darla?" Julien gave Skipper a skeptical look.

Skipper stared at Julien in bewilderment, and got back to his announcement.

"How she died is unfortunately obvious-" He cringed as he remembered the sight of Darla's body, blood everywhere... the cœur, coeur yanked right out of her chest... "-But the psychopath who killed her is still unknown, hiding within the shadows." Skipper looked around the crowd.

Joey spoke up. "Do toi have any suspects?"

"Everyone is a suspect."

Marlene shivered and turned to look at the leader. "W-Will it happen again?"

"I was getting to that. Whether the killer will strike again ou this was just a one-shot is vague. For all we know, this maniac could have just hated Darla with an abnormal passion. But this could also be a serial killer, waiting for the right moment to take another life."

"What do toi know about the killer?" Mason questioned.

Skipper turned to Kowalski.

Kowalski faced the crowd and spoke.
"According to my calculations, this murderer is not in his right mind. Something in our enviroment clicked in his brain, setting him off. He may be confused par his actions, and is afraid and unsure of what to make of what he had done. ou perhaps he is fully aware of his killing, and did it out of anger - maybe something tragic recently happened in his life - ou out of pleasure - he does it to satisfy his derranged needs, which would classify him as a sociopath."

"So our killer should stand out from the rest of us, then...?" Roger thought.

"Not necessarily. Our killer can hide his feelings from us, and strike when we least expect it - if he's a sociopath, that is. If he's psycho, then it would depend how his mind works - if something in his brain clicks randomly, ou only when our backs are turned. Right now it is hard to tell who - ou what - he is."

Marlene glanced at Kowalski, impressed. She expected him to stumble over his words, and make a complete fool out of himself.

Kowalski backed away from the crowd, and Skipper took his place.

Joey spoke. "So, the killer might not know he's a killer? So it could be toi ou me?"

Skipper shrugged. "Like I said, anyone's a suspect.

-----

1:58 AM

He waddled up to the giftshop, the door automatically opening for him. He stepped inside, and the door shut, darkness consuming him.
A liquid dripped down from his forhead. He wiped it off with his flipper and licked it. He was sweating blood.

Skipper smiled into the shadows. "What do toi want?"

He was answered par the same low growl he heard before.

He laughed. "You're gonna have to do plus then that to scare me!"

The same whispy voice he heard last night bounced off the walls, penetrating him.

"Come play, Skipper."

"What do toi want from me?"

"It's okay, Skipper."

"Answer me!"

"It's okay to die, Skipper."

"What do toi want from me?!"

"It's okay to die..."

"ANSWER MY DAMN QUESION!!" Skipper boomed, plus blood dripping rapidly off his face.

A roar escalated, growing louder and louder, almost deafening, shaking the whole room.

Then silence.

A metal box appeared in front of Skipper. He stared down at it, and it opened.

Inside was at least ten hearts, still alive and pounding.

The box slid aside, and something else appeared in front of the now-frightened penguin.

A glowing light. Except it wasn't a light. It was another penguin. Female. Her ice-cold eyes stared passionately into Skipper's, smiling joyfully. Skipper Lost his breath. This manchot, pingouin was beautiful, like none he had ever seen before.

She swiftly waddled up to Skipper until she was inches away from him. Then she planted her beak to his, s’embrasser him with so much enthusiasm that Skipper almost fell over. He regained his control and kissed her back, the bliss overtaking him. It was nothing like he had ever felt before. Was he in heaven?

Then, to Skipper's disappointment, the female pulled away. Her pleasant smile turning drastically, grinning at Skipper with pure evil and insanity.

She laughed and spoke. Her voice was like a soft breeze, racing towards him in a whisper.

"It's okay to die, Skipper."

She laughed again and vanished into thin air.

Skipper's cœur, coeur pounded in his chest, his vision blurring, the room spinning...

Skipper woke with a fright, his cœur, coeur still pounding. His breathing finally slowed and everything was silent again as he realized his was in his bunk.

Skipper sighed and laid back down, staring up at the ceiling. He closed his eyes.

A scream broke the silence.

[And it didn't help that everywhere I went for the last 4 days, I...

Marlene: salut guys!
Skipper: Hello Marlene. What brings toi here today?
Marlene: I'm just sooo excited for tomorrow! Guess why?
Private: Julien's moving?
Marlene: No.
Kowalski: NASA chose me to go on the trip to Mars?
Marlene: No.
Rico: Buttons!
Marlene: I wish! but nope. Actually its-
Skipper: Your birthday.

Marlene: Yes! I'm sooo glad toi remembered!
Skipper: Of course I did. Unlike these knuckle-heads.

Kowalski: Umm, I had a lot in my mind lately...
Private: I was visiting Barry this week...
Rico: Heheheh...

Marlene: Right....Well I'll go now! I gotta clean my habitat for tomorrow!

(leaves the room)

Private: Not that this taco doesn't look good, but that chunky boulette de viande of hot sauce and soggy taco shell is kind of ruining my appetite.
Kowalski: toi a dit it. That is rather repulsive and nauseating. (gags with disgust)
Suddenly the taco jolts and flops out of the tray, leaving a soggy puddle on the once-clean table.
Private: AH! The taco moved. Did toi see that? Skipper's taco flopped onto the table!
Kowalski: That is proposterous. Tacos aren't alive, and they don't walk.
Private: It moved!
Rico hacks up a crowbar.
Private: I don't need to be put out of my misery. I am telling you. It's alive....

Note: This is my first Koico, Rowalski, Kico...whatever you'd like to call it. It is in Rico's point of view.

I watched him as he sat there, lonely as always. He never really seemed to care whether he had such company ou not. Very careless indeed. I enjoyed to have him around all the time, he was a like a best friend to me...but there were times that I doubted our friendship. I didn't think that he didn't like me ou something around that area, I just sometimes felt really close to him. Too close, I believe. Almost like brothers. Sometimes I felt even closer than that. I always wondered how...

Chapter 7

Rico’s eyes scrolled over the room, searching for the items that would be necessary for his rescue. He kept looking around but he couldn’t stay looking at something too long, the longer he took, the farther Marlene and Richard got. His stomach was feeling sick at the thought of Marlene and Richard EVER being together. That was just wrong. To Rico, he was some kind of molester…and he knew he probably was to anybody else.

The crazy manchot, pingouin shook his head and tried to get focused on what he was doing again, but it was pretty hard to concentrate when his doll was watching him every...

Sorry it took me so long to update! This was a difficult chapter to write, but I’m pleased with the final product. I hope toi enjoy it and, yes, not all the characters are going to survive this. Just wanted to make that clear.

Hopeless Situations

“Um, excuse me, Dr. Blowhole?” Private said, “I-I’m still stuck here!”
“Oh, I know, Private,” he responded, “I know.”
“Hey, let the private go, Blowhole!” Skipper ordered.
The dauphin bowed mockingly, “Your wish is my command, Skipper!” At that moment, the floor began to tremble. The penguins hit the floor, and Kowalski...

New Transfer
It was early in the morning when I was getting the team ready for today's schedule. They were all there except for Kowalski. I had donné Kowalski orders to go and see what all the commotion was about in Alice's office last night. I was almost done telling everybody everything for today, when Kowalski jumping into the H.Q. "Speak man." I commanded him. He was out of breath and looked excited and worried, which was making me anxious. "We are getting a new transfer." Kowalski a dit when he caught his breath. "New transfer!" I exclaimed. "Tell us more" Private a dit anxiously. "Well..."...
