Why do toi like Yuri?(Yuri fans only)

I'm kind of a feminist I guess and that's why I'm so attracted to it. I don't hate men ou anything but I don't really get emotionally attached to men like that very easily. I think it's plus graceful in the matter at least to me. A lot of yuri has a plus tragic plotline to it and it's very sweet yet heartbreaking. There are certain obstacles yuri couples go through that straight couples don't have to face. Usually if they do go through the same thing it's a Romeo and Juliet deal which is very overused in my opinion. The perfect example of a sweet yet heartbreaking montrer would be either Kannazuki no Miko ou especially Ga-Rei: Zero which the show's entire theme is "Will toi kill someone toi love, because of love?" Ga-Rei: Zero isn't really a true yuri it's plus hidden in subtext and read between the lines sort of thing. (Yomi's "love interest" is a boy for example). A truly beautiful plot I must say!

ou perhaps a much lighter plot with Sasameki Koto. Granted the plot of hiding your feelings from your best friend because toi don't want to lose them is cliche but the way it plays out is truly amazing. Sasameki Koto literally means Whispered Words so the story is portrayed that without saying a single word Sumika and Kazama confess their feelings to one another. But it also has plenty of humor to keep toi entertained throughout it all.

I could go on forever! But my point is that I l’amour the plotlines and the secret meanings that a Yuri has that a straight couple doesn't. I'm not saying straight romances can't be beautiful but I prefer to be attached to both partners in the relationship and due to my difficulty in becoming attached to males I end up only being attached to half of the romance. Which isn't very fun, right?

As toi can see Yuri is something I'm VERY passionate about. ^^" So that's why I like Yuri. <3 And am I straight? No. Am I Bisexual? No. =] toi can figure it out from there right?

Yuri doesn't have all the hysterical OTP battles like yaoi. It's also less perverted than yaoi, and also much plus better. [Also, almost every yaoi fan I have seen on the net are homophobes, and that makes me literally scratch my hands in fury. HARD, as well.]

Also, I am homosexual/lesbian as well, so I am pretty happy if there is any yuri in a manga/anime I have noticed. Especially if it is lesbian vampires as well, dayum~. *Perverted sense ON*

I also think that yuri isn't really that big. The genre itself has gotten quite many fans quite lately, but I rarely see anything about it on the net, and that makes me a bit annoyed. Mainly because I hate yaoi, which has a massive, yet braindumb cult following.

Well, I think it's interesting to see things mixed up a bit. Boy X Girl is cool and all, but it gets boring after a while.

I like yuri because it's a real turn on to see two girls together plus alot of the storylines are quite interesting. If the story line wasn't a good one I seriously doubt I'd even watch ou read it.

Well, personally I find yuri to be... interesting, I guess.
I get really bored with the usual, "Boy meets girl blah blah" plot. Usually in yuri, there is plus excitement since it is unorthodox, and a bit plus original.

There are very few people out there (such as me) who realy feel like they understand it... From a normal mans standpoint I don't like yaoi (idk why) but to most men it's just plain cute :/

This may not be a great answer, but I like it because it's not like the usual, boy girl Romance, where they confess blah blah rendez-vous amoureux, date Kiss and that, yuri is where they both are shy for each other. Both get jealous of each other, and they have to explain that they like them even though their girls,I am bisexual, and it's not because I watched yuri it's because I like everyone in the world, no matter what gender, who I fall in l’amour with, I fall in l’amour with. So animé doesn't always affect your sexuality so don't be afraid to watch it (:

I do not know why I like this genre, maybe I get bored of the typical heterosexual couple in the animes and romantic mangas, but I think it's very pretty couples in anime, manga, visual novels and even in the hentai yuri, it makes me feel As if my cœur, coeur were purified, it is really beautiful. As for the yuri in a sexual way, I rarely use it as fap content, and I would say that unlike most manga and animé yuri where there is a lot of ecchi and fan-service, in many hentais it is absolutely the opposite, being a lot of these romantic stories between two girls (just look at nhentai, tu should search: yuri females only english) mmm ... that does not mean that the fan-service o the eroges like "Sono hanabira", I just do not like it when it's pure fan-service without romance, o when the romance is put in seconde plane. Mmm ... I do not think that, after having answered it completely well, I simply gave my reasons why I l’amour this genre. plus: it's a bit strange that I prefer the romantic yuri over the sexual one, when an eroge without much romance, made me start to consume this type of content

Well, I guess it's because Yuri is usually wholesome and sweet and the main characters are confused with their sexuality most of the time. Having very confusing thoughts and emotions and I can relate to that...

I prefer yuri animé because animé male characters are so feminized, sissified and very un-masculine. Moreover, their attempts at being either assertive ou aggressive is pitiful. Furthermore, the relationships between female characters even at youthful ages surpass the maturity that a male script of similar age can provide. For example, the chacter Rieto in My HIME is retarded! And for its time, that Candy was supposed to be so manly. No the female psyche to me plus the female sensuous, sensual and erotic qualities far exceed - in excitement, enticement and sexiness, a female male relationship. Two plus examples: The spike haired boi in Scientific Railgun was totally outclassed par the lesbian character Kuroko Shirai; and the sissy boi in Mars Daybreak who force- kissed the lead(?) female simply made me sick. The male scripts dont have what fraise Panic offered.
