Do toi know any Death Note symbolisms?

Just curios about it. Because i've noticed a couple of symbolisms while watching Death Note and i wanna know more.:)

Takashi Obata thought that a pomme was a symbol for Death Note but thats not what in Tsugumis mind when she writed that. she just wanted ryuk to eat something that Suits – Avocats sur Mesure Ryuks mouth. XC
