Is there any good animé for 12 an old girls?

One day, I have a sister who has a twelve an old friend. I invited her over my house for a party. We had a talk about what animé we watch and then she asked me what are some good animé for her.

She loves Fruits Basket and just got done watching Azumanga Daioh. However, she dislikes Nausicaa of the valley of the wind and says she probably doesn’t like animé about Princes and Princesses.

So is there any animé that are like Fruits Basket and not about Princes and Princesses?
