to answer your questions:
1) i don't really know, i felt like giving him 2 names like nessie because Jake(Jacob) was still part of Bella's life, that she picked that as the baby's seconde name and Mason as his first name (the middle name of Edward) :-)
2) it comes in my story, that jake a dit he looks allot like Bella :D
