"I hate to interrupt, but Merida's got a letter." she said. "Must be from me parents." Merida a dit to herself. When she looked at the envelope, she was astounded to find out who it was from. "I can't read this!" she a dit with a million knots in her stomach. "Calm yourself child. I'm sure it's nothing bad." Chief Powhatan soothed. Merida took a deep breath. "Okay." she a dit as she opened the letter.
The letter said:
"Dear Merida, I'm so glad toi forgive me! Back then was a terrible time for me, and I'm glad toi understand that now. I finally have my fears conquered and the control of my powers at bay. I understand toi don't want to be Friends right away. Even though, I'd l’amour to regain that bond with you, I understand if toi don't to now. If we never regain that bond, I'd be honored to be Dunbroch's trading partner! I hope this reaches toi wherever toi are.

Merida was ready about to cry the turquoise right out of her eyes after she read that. "I'm hoping that was something good." Chief Powhatan voiced with a high level of concern. "It was for me." She folded the letter up and put it in her manteau pocket.
