As I was creating my icones for Team Merida, I realised exactly why I loved this girl. As a result, I decided to write an article with 5 reasons why everybody should l’amour Merida/Brave

1. Rebelle was the first Pixar film that had a female protagonist.

Pixar is a hugely successful company, but it took about 8 years since they first started making films for them to make a movie where the main character was a girl. Before Rebelle was made, I was slightly annoyed at Pixar - most of it's films didn't even pass the Bechdel test. I l’amour Rebelle because it finally featured an awesome female character.

What do toi mean it took 8 years to have a female protagonist? That's so dumb!

2. Merida is a great role-model, just the same as some of the other girls

Perhaps Merida isn't your first thought when it comes to good role-model. A lot of people call her "spoilt" and "a brat". However, stop to think about it. There is something in Merida's life that she doesn't like, so she makes a HUGE effort to change it. She doesn't just accept a bad fate. There are millions of teenagers in abusive ou bad situations and Merida can act as a perfect role-model to montrer teens they can change their life!

 Yes. Always.
Yes. Always.

3. Merida is the first princess with brothers

I have ALWAYS wished for a princess film that showed an accurate portrayal about the brother/sister relationship. And while Rebelle didn't have much of a focus on the four siblings, at least it was a start. I WANT plus PRINCESSES WITH BROTHERS

 plus brothers please!
More brothers please!

4. Merida is the first princess who didn't end up with a l’amour interest.

I guess to some people this would not seem very significant, but I feel it is very important that girls see that a princess doesn't have to eventually end up with a prince/love interest. toi don't need a man to live happily ever after. Rebelle teaches girls that life is about finding yourself, not romantic love.

 I don't need no man
I don't need no man

5. Merida gets a lot of unfair criticism

As mentioned earlier, Merida is often (unfairly) called a spoiled brat because of the way she reacts when she finds out she is being forced into marriage. But, realistically, how would toi feel if toi were sixteen and looking vers l'avant, vers l’avant to studying at université so toi can go and live your dreams. Suddenly, your parents tell toi none of that is going to happen and toi have to give up your dreams and get married. Any arguement toi make is completely ignored. Oh, and par the way, toi have no choice in who toi marry and your husband is a complete stranger who toi have never spoken too. I'm guessing any sane person would react the same way Merida did.

Let's see toi give up your freedom!
Let's see toi give up your freedom!

That concludes this article. I would really be interested to hear your thoughts.

15. Poor Kida. Her film was considered second-rate Disney par most and her looks don't get much appreciation either. To her credit, Kida is one of the most unique princesses in appearance and personality....

Beauty and the Beast; often considered the magnum opus of the Walt Disney company was released on November 13, 1991. As most people know, it is the only traditionally animated film to rendez-vous amoureux, date to have garnered an Oscar nomination for Best Picture. This may have been due to the approach to this film. It was so unusual for an animated film; having a screen writer, jouer la comédie director, flawless score, elements that were typically reserved for high-budget live-action films. So much care and detail was put into this film that entire livres could be written about...

Once upon a time in a faraway land, there was a tiny kingdom. Peaceful, prosperous, and rich in romance in tradition. There was a small farm that lived a humble farmer, and his daughter, Victoria. The Farmer was a kind and hardworking man that preferred the simple life as a farmer. However, his daughter was far from content with life as a farmer's daughter and desired for plus in life. Before her mother died, she had her daughter promise her that she would be plus than just a simple peasant girl. That she would have a better life for herself one day, along with her future children. Unfortunately,...

As often as Disney princess sidekicks are talked about, it feels to me that the side characters of villainous role are often over-looked. So I wanted to write an article talking about their characters and how evil were they. I have tried to rank them basis 3 primary traits: loyalty to main villain and evil plan, scale of meanness/evilness and their importance of role in global, ensemble story development. So here's my ranking of the villainous side characters from DP movies. Hope toi guys enjoy it!

The content in this article is rated PG-13 for mentioning horror-thematic elements though no explicit details are given.

So I was inspired par anukriti2409's link and was inspired to do my own, especially since I knew Halloween was coming up! hommages to link for her article as it was actually what inspired me to want to do "themed" articles.

Some Factors in the Countdown: Before I begin the countdown, I want to let everyone know that I think crimes done to children/innocent are the absolute worst and my countdown will no doubt reflect that entirely. Additionally, I tend to believe that it is worse...
