A few days passed par where Becca wasn't seen. Zatanna, Kendra, and Artemis entertained Dick during the day. At night, Dick could have sworn someone watched him. But everytime he opened his eyes, no one was there. After three days of quiet, Zatanna decided it was time for Becca to come out.
“I need to go check on her, anyways.”
Zatanna got up to leave, and Dick stood too.
“Can I come with you?” he asked.
Zatanna turned to stare at him. She gave a small nod and the two went to the seconde floor.
“So where does everyone else sleep?” Dick asked.
“Well you're in the guest room. I'm closest to you, then it's Artemis, then Kendra. Becca sleeps in the attic.”
“Why?”
Zatanna blinked.
“I forgot that toi don't know. I'll explain when we get Becca.”
Zatanna led Dick to the attic and both knocked on the door. A seconde later, the tip of a couteau was impaled through the door.
“Becca come out!”
“No way!”
“It's been three days! toi should be over it par now! ou are toi really not as tough as toi say?”
Becca threw a curse word from behind the closed door. Zatanna sighed.
“Don't make me come in there Becca!”
Becca sat in a corner of her room. She knew Zatanna would give in sooner ou later. She usually did. Becca looked around her room. The walls were a dark purple, the dark wood furniture and floors only adding to it. The trimmings were a light blue that complimented the dark colors. A balcony door stood par her bed.
“Becca come on!” Zatanna urged.
Becca shook her head, drawing her knees to her chest.
“No, Zatanna.”
Becca heard the sound of footsteps and shut her eyes.
“Let me talk to her,” Dick suggested.
“I'm not sure, Dick. Becca isn't very...nice.”
“I don't care. Let me try.”
Zatanna stared at him.
“Alright. I'll go get Kendra and Artemis ready.”
Dick waited until Zatanna left before knocking.
“Becca? Can I come in?”
“Is it just you?” she asked.
“Yeah. Just me.”
He waited a few secondes before the door opened and Becca pulled him in. She closed the door behind him, locking it. She pulled the couteau out.
“Why are toi here?” she asked.
“You know, toi really shouldn't keep weapons in your room.”
Dick watched as Becca went over to her bureau and put the couteau in a drawer. She looked at him.
“Why are toi here? I'm surprised.”
“Why?”
“Most guys don't want a badass flirt. Why are toi even talking to me?”
“Not sure. Something draws me.”
“Huh. That's new.”
Becca sat on her bed, looking at him. Dick moved to sit par her.
“You have no clue who we are, do you?” Becca asked.
“No. But Zatanna was going to explain.”
“Course she was,” Becca muttered.
“What's that supposed to mean?”
Becca looked down at her feet then back to him.
“We aren't humans Dick Grayson. And neither are you.”
“I need to go check on her, anyways.”
