toi in Ke$sha’s song called Tick Tock it goes: Wake up in the morning felling like P Diddy. Well, I woke up in the morning feeling like crap. My back was killing me, my head was pounding, even my muscles hurt. I went to crack my back like I always do in the morning, and screamed. I had wings. My mom came rushing in. She saw my wings and her face went as white as snow.
“Mom. What’s happening?” I whispered
She picked up my phone and dialed a number.
“Yes, this is Alex’s mother. She is changing school’s do to health reasons. toi are very understanding. Thank you” My mom a dit into the phone. She dialed a new number. It didn’t even have a chance to ring before someone answered.
“It’s begun” she said, then hung up. A couple minutes later I heard a couple bangs on the front door. I ran down, forgetting about my wings. I looked out the window and almost fainted. The Dark Night and another lady with wings were standing there. I figured I’d better let them in before the lady knocked down the door with the mace on her side. I opened the door, but hid behind it so they wouldn’t see me. The lady looked right through the window, straight into my eyes, but apparently didn’t see me because she just looked away like nothing happened. My mother rushed down the stairs, and tripped. She would’ve broken her nose if it weren’t for the lady with wings. She grabbed my mom’s arm the seconde she bashed her nose against the wooden stairs. She flew down the stairs and lightly placed my mom on the ground.
“Alex, toi can come out now. I know you’re behind the door” Batman a dit without even turning to look at me. I came out, baffled. How did he do that? I walked over to them. My mom gave me the introduce yourself look.
“My name is Alexandra. This is my mother, Audrey. I hope toi enjoy your stay our home, however long ou short” I a dit without feeling. The lady smiled.
“I’ve never got a welcoming committee par just walking into a house. My name is Batman. This is -” Batman started
“I am very capable of introducing myself” The lady interrupted “I am Shayera Hol. It is a pleasure to meet someone like me” she smiled
“What do toi mean ‘someone like me?’” I asked
“Thanagarian” she said, her brow furrowing. She looked at my mom “You haven’t told her yet?”
“No. I was hoping toi could help” she pleaded
“Help what?” I demanded
“Help explain who your father was. Who toi are” Batman explained
“My father is dead. He died when the Thanagarian’s attacked. He looked too much like Superman so they took him. Then, they killed him” I murmured
“I am sorry, but that is not what happened” Shayera apologized “Your father was a Thanagarian known for his kind heart”
“Why are toi talking in past tense?” I asked
Your father was killed for *ahem* mating with the enemy” Batman a dit awkwardly. If I hadn’t been so over whelmed, I would’ve taken the opportunity to make him feel even plus awkward.
“You mean, I’m part alien?” I a dit “AWESOME! All those year’s knowing I was different, special ou weird I was right!”
“I have a gift for you” my mother said. She walked into the kitchen, leaving me and two superhero’s alone.
“So, toi and Wonder Woman together yet?” I asked Batman, less whelmed then before
“Excuse me?” he said, the part of his face I could see turning red.
“You heard me” I looked at him, dead serious. Shayera laughed. Probably at the fact Batman was being interrogated par a 15 an old.
“Uh, no. Not yet, at least” he managed
“Don’t lie to the girl, Bat’s. Wonder Woman thinks differently about the question” Shayera a dit with mock shock. My mother walked back in and immediately noticed Batman’s red face.
“What did Alex do?” she sighed. Shayera started laughing when she saw my expression.
“She will be an excellent detective, let’s put it that way” Batman laughed
“Anyways” my mother decided she wouldn’t get any réponses “Alex, this is for you” She handed me a mace like Shayera’s, but smaller. I gripped it. It felt so natural in my hands. I sung it lightly. Felt good.
“We should be off” Batman bowed “Thank toi for your hospitality”
“Where are toi going?” I asked
“We’re taking toi to Mount Justice where toi can be trained” Batman said
“Wait, toi mean with people like Kid Flash and Aqualad and Robin and Miss Martian?” I asked, suddenly nervous
“Yes, why?” Batman said. I half ran half flew to my room and grabbed my mask from my room. I tied it around the back of my head, over my reddish orange short hair. I changed into my school uniform and ran back down stairs.
“Why do toi have a mask?” Batman asked
“I’ve always wanted to be a hero” I blushed.
“Let’s go. I will be your mentor. First lesson: getting in the Bat-jet” Shayera smiled
