“Ow…”
“Oh my god are toi okay?” A voice in the distance yelled, getting louder the closer it came. It sounded familiar. The girl looked to the direction of the sound, but could only see blurry shapes. The couleurs were dark and saturated because it seemed to be the middle of the night. She tried to get up, but that just resulted in her falling back down. Water. There was water where she was laying. Quite shallow as well, any higher she could have drown. Two feet came beside her, knowing there were feet par the shape and splash they had in the water. Blinking a few times, she could almost make out the person kneeling beside her.
“B-Blade?”
“Rene, what the hell happened to you?” The vampire noticed the blood trailing from her friend into the water, restraining herself to drink the sweet red refreshment. After spacing out for a few moments, she began to help up the girl in the stream, realizing that the girl had no strength whatsoever. She had never seen the red head in this sort of state before, and it worried her. Blade picked her up and placed her on the dry herbe beside the stream, watching the last of the blood in the stream disappear. “Rene, can toi answer me?”
“I d-don’t remember what happened… I think it was a fight, p-possibly.” The red head tried to keep her eyes open, but they failed her and closed; her breath short and soft. The blonde didn’t know what to do. They were too far from a town and the police wouldn’t be able to find them without an address. She took her hurt friend’s hand and held it, feeling a warm substance touch her hand. The vampire had to stare at her friend to not think about the wonderful smell of the blood, of how much she desired to lick it up and savor the taste on her tongue. “Go ahead,” Rene a dit weakly.
“What?”
“I a dit go ahead… I know that toi want to d-drink it. Just do it, okay?” Blade blinked, looking at the girl whose eyes were shut. How could she possibly know?
“…okay…” Releasing her tight grasp, she took the palm of the red head’s hand and lifted it to her mouth. First, inhaling the scent. It was sweet, smelling like ginger and vanilla; just how her friend smelled on a daily basis. Her tongue dipped down and touched the blood, swirling around to devour the flavor. As her now dark red tongue ran across the wound, the sorceress arched her back and winced at the pain shooting through her like lightning. Immediately, Blade removed her tongue, looking at the pain filled girl. She was about the set down her hand; but the red head forced it back to her hands, urging her to continue. Unsure, the blonde did as she wanted and took the hand again. The wound had stop flowing with the vanilla ginger combination, but it was still fresh on the edges of her palm. Her tongue ran across the thin callous on the edge of her hand. She looked at the blood on her fingers and took one in her mouth, running the tongue around it to soak up all of the drink; continuing on all of the fingers, taking the most time on her pinky. As she looked at the girl, color could now be seen in her cheeks and face. Her lips were bruised and bloody, as if someone punched them as hard as possible. Quickly, she moved her eyes away, knowing what would happen if she stared too long. Instead, she went over to inspect the girl’s head, finding a small bruise. Nothing as serious.
“Rene, can toi please try and remember what happened?” The red head opened her eyes, revealing the soft brown irises that were hidden behind the thin sheets of skin. They could literally warm anyone’s heart, no matter how depressed ou evil one might be. Blade held back a small gasp, staring into the irises, realizing how earthy brown they were.
“I don’t know who it was… I had never seen them before today…”
“What did they look like?” The blonde was biting her lip as her eyes trailed down to Rene’s swollen bloody lips.
“I, couldn’t see the person… They were covered completely in black, blending in with the shado-“
She was cut off par the pressing of lips against hers, soft and gentle lips. The girl was so stunned at first, but after a few moments she returned the kiss. Blade bit the red head’s bottom lip, a little too hard that caused it to rip and bleed. The sweet scent returned to her nostrils and caused her to deepen the kiss. Her tongue slipped out and poked itself into the red head’s mouth with ease, tasting the blood that poured in. Rene intertwined her tongue with the other’s creating a slight knot between them. Blade pulled away, licking the spot where the blood was dripping from before sitting up again. The sorceress looked up at her friend, who looked away from her.
“Sorry…” Rene collected as much strength as she could and sat up, leaning her head beside the blonde’s ear.
“Don’t be sorry,” she whispered weakly. The vampire turned to face her, their lips centimeters away.
“We should, uh, get going. toi need rest, and we’re in the middle of, uh, nowhere.”
“But toi have to carry me. I might collapse. Okay?” Blade planted a soft Kiss on the red head’s lips.
“Okay.”
So, yeah.... This is what my mind comes up with in the middle of the night...
