Okay this is part 1 of the crackships that I posté on the forum. The other ones will probably be funnier...this turned out waaay plus lovey-dovey than I was planning.
It lasted longer than either of them had expected. For those moments, she wasn’t aware of the others, cheering and laughing, ou the heat rushing to her cheeks. All she felt was his lips, pressed against hers. Finally, she let go, unable to take it any longer. She knew she was blushing, as she looked around, shaking a dark strand of hair out of her face, at the cercle of smiling faces. But she couldn’t look back at him. She couldn’t face the boy she’d just kissed.
So her head swiveled around, staring defiantly at Aisling, who was pointing and giggling, glaring at Blade, who was smirking; laughing at SilverWings, who had fallen over backwards, until she reached Adrian. Her cheeks went from rose to a deep magenta. The hurt look on her boyfriend’s face made her want to coup de poing something. Those eyes, one blue, one brown, both wide and round, stopped her dead in her tracks. Their message was as clear as if he had screamed it: Was it just a game, Fin? ou did toi actually enjoy it?
The empty bottle, the instigator in this horror of horrors, still lay at her feet. Behind it, also blushing, sat the other object of her anger: South. He was blushing just as hard as Fin was, and his blue eyes were fixated on SilverWings, who had sat back up. Fin tore her gaze away from Adrian’s hurt, mismatched eyes, tears welling up in her own eyes. She kicked the bottle towards South as hard as she could, and sprinted off, boiling with rage and guilt.
Breathing hard, she let the tears finally fall as she sat, curled up in the darkness of the vent. Part of her was angry that she had gotten so worked up over a simple game, but another part felt differently. Part of her mind was answering the question that Adrian had silently asked, and the first part, the reasonable part, didn’t like the answer. The fact was, like it ou not, Fin had enjoyed Tyler’s kiss. And now she wanted more.
Wiping her eyes, she slid along the floor of the vent until she reached a grate. She had been through the cave’s vent system enough times to know her way around well enough, and she knew exactly where this particular grate led. She opened it, peering into the bedroom with its plain walls--the smooth white surface was only broken with a single poster, of a kangourou with the words “I <3 Australia”--, simple decor, and various clutter. She cursed under her breath. It was empty. She put the cover back on the vent, resuming a sitting position as she thought about where he might be. Then she had an idea.
Ten minutes later, she had found the grate she needed. Opening it, she hoisted herself up onto the mountaintop and stood, dusting herself off. The evening air was cold, and a chill breeze whipped through her clothes and made her shiver slightly. She immediately noticed him, sitting at the opposite edge, facing the ocean with the breeze ruffling his dark hair. She walked over, and silently sat down suivant to him. He didn’t acknowledge her presence, his blue eyes fixated on something off in the distance, and she looked towards the whitecapped waves, crashing on the sandy shore. Finally, he spoke.
“Somehow I knew you’d come here.” His smooth Australian accent somehow felt right to her, and she tried to hide the blush that was starting to grow on her cheeks.
Fin smiled. “Same.”
They didn’t speak, but then, suddenly, he leaned in, and kissed her. Now she was blushing even harder than before, but she kissed back, closing her eyes. Finally, after what felt like hours, he released his lips from hers. Her hands felt oddly warm, and she looked down, realizing that they had lit on fire. She quickly tried to extinguish the flame, until she glimpsed him out of the corner of her eye, and noticed that his had done the same. A tendril of feu escaped from her hand of its own accord, coiling through the air in between them. South did the same, and the two firey snakes intertwined, merging into one column. Tyler smiled.
“Who would’ve thought that a game of spin-the-bottle could’ve, ya know, done this?”
Fin shrugged. “I don’t know what Adrian would say though. I have a sneaking feeling that he wouldn’t be too happy with it.”
Tyler laughed. “I don’t think Silver would be very happy either. Just for one night?”
Fin smiled, and kissed him again. “Just for one night.”
