are toi allowed to do this? (click on this. NOW.)

toi know with stories how toi can put poems in manuscript? well, are toi allowed to put song verses in them? cuz the story that im écriture right now is heavily inspired par Evanescence, and so i put some of their song verses in the story. is this allowed? ou do i need to get permission?

cuz songs are still poems, just MUSICAL ones

I don't think toi should give up hope just yet. I think toi can include a small portion of the song/poem, but over a certain amount of lines toi have to pay royalties. Also, toi might be able to reference the song without actually using the song. So, toi might be able to say the title. However, I'm not an expert, so keep looking into it. toi might be able to finish your story without quoting the song. If toi publish, toi can always acknowledge the song in your thank you's. just like center it and put it in italics and then put a dash ou squiggle (~) and say "whatever song par whoever" and it'll prolly be fine and dandy
