Vampire Academy Question

Why does everyone seem to want there to be a movie?

Not that I'm hating on anyone here, it's just how I feel. I just find it interesting that after so many disappointments with the Twilight movie people seem to think this one would be better. Not saying it couldn't be, but I know that my main complaint with Twilight was the cast and how much they cut out(and the über stupid stuff they replaced it with). Why can't people just accept that it's a book and play it in their heads? Must we have proof of it's awesomeness? toi all know that they have to cut stuff out, so imagine it without some of your favori parts and then realize that's probably what would happen. But then again maybe I'm completely wrong, and honestly if they can prove that I'm wrong then all the power to them. What do toi guys think? Just a friendly debate(hopefully :])

I think it would be exciting to see who was casted and what the director would do with the story plot. Actors are so gifted and can bring so much plus to a character that isn't in the book. I would just really l’amour to see a movie!!!

toi make good points, but I feel like if the movie is an epic fail it will totally ruin everything for me! I think people's imaginations are dying out if they need to have a movie to visualize everything! I think coming up with your own cast and setting is the fun part. However, that's just me.

p.s. I completely agree that this is the best vampire series, I'm trying to spread it around at my school(so far unsuccessful, they're all still caught up in Twilight)

In many ways I completly agree with you. I was SOO freakiin dissappointed with Twilight. I even started watching true blood first then the livres and still dissappointed with the tv series. But not as much. I think with films they try to put too much info into an average of 90min. That just isnt right. It obviously doesn't work. I think the best bet would be to make a tv series. Just like true blood and vampire diaries. It works WAY better. They can put as many episodes as they need in one season to follow one book. There's no rushing it either and I really like the results better then movies
