I don think he was selfish! He was in love with her and wanted her to be with him. Yes, he wasnt imprinted, but he didnt know when he would imprint or even if he would ever imprint!!

Lol, I think Jacob acted very selfish at times. Like, when he lied to Bella to get her to kiss him!
But,not in this situation!!

It was. Because yeah i liked her but he knew that she loved edward.
Lets just say he did get her to choose him over edward. Then Renesmee would never be born and jacob would never get the love of his life!! Jacob is insane!! He is a freak who wants more than he can get.

It's hard to call it selfish since imprinting takes on a whole other level with love, and because Edward was pretty much doing the same thing Jacob was doing,
playing tug-a-war until after the newborn vampires were stopped
