I dropped the syringe into the yellow box on the trolley and smiled at the patient. Her name was Leanne. She’d just been bitten par her dog, Pixie, who was an ‘overexcited’ rottweiler. I’d just donné her a tetanus jab.
“You really should have your dog seen to,” I said, as I rolled down her sleeve. With my eyes I could see plus faint bite marks up her arms.

In my dream it was very dark, and what dim light there was seemed to be radiating from Edward's skin. I couldn't see his face, just his back as he walked away from me, leaving me in the blackness. No matter how fast I ran, I couldn't catch up to him; no matter how loud I called, he never turned.
