I burst through the door still wondering where the hell my Volvo was. "Mom! Where the hell is my car?!" Panic was setting in, and fast.

"You have a rental car remember? The Ashton Martin." She called though the kitchen.

I had forgotten I had to leave my Volvo at home. Damn. Insted I was driving a dark blue Ashton Martin.

"Edward? Can I talk to toi for a minute?" Esme asked sitting down on the couch.

"Mom." I groand. "I have to go pick up Bella."

"It will only take a moment." She begged.

"Mom. I really do-"

She cut me off. "Edward, if toi would shut up for a second, it could be over with and done."

I sighed and gave in, sitting suivant to her.

"Now." She sighed and placed her hand on my knee. "Don't be nervous, Edward. toi have to learn that what ever happens, happens, and to go with the flow of things. Don't let your nerveracking ruin your jour with Bella. Just, go with things for once."

She was right. I was nervous out of my mind. Bella looked so different, yet so much the same. She still looked like high school Bella, but a sexier verson of her. Not that she wasn't before of course, just now plus than ever. I nodded and she stood up and walked back into the kitchen.

I walked back outside and climbed into the car, speeding down the drive way. 'What ever happens, happens. Just go with things.' My mothers words swam around in my head and I found myself saying them out loud. "Just go with things."

Bella

I was pacing in the cuisine with Charlie's eyes boaring into my back. "Bells." He finally called my name and I looked up from my white converse. Jason wasn't happy when I told him I wasn't going to where heels. I was going to be walking around Seattle most of the day. No way, was I wearing heels.

He put me in dark blue skinny jeans and one of those baggy white tank tops that toi tuck into your jeans, and a really cute military styled jacket.

I left my hair down but of course Jason get it a little plus body. I like it like this, and he knew it, maybe that's why he insisted. That and his reason being "You look so sexy with your hair like that. Please let me do it."

"Hm?" I jerked my head up.

"Calm down. Stop shaking, your going to cause and earthquake. There isn't any need to be nervous. It's just Edward." He pointed out.

Yea. Just a sexier, older, plus muscler, scruffier Edward. It's just Edward. Pff!! Just Edward my ass! "Dad, I haven't seen him in ten years! What the hell am I suposed to say to him? Did toi knock up any girls in college?"

He stiffed a laugh and I scowled at him. "So, not funny." I rolled my eyes. "I mean, what if he's married and has a kid ou 6? What then? What if he's just looking to catch up?"

"Bella." He looked at me. "Breathe."

I sucked in a breath and let it out. And then the door cloche, bell rang. Shit!

"I'll get it?" Charlie asked as he got up out of his seat. I couldn't move. "Bella! Get in here! This isn't kindergarten." He called from the living room.

No. I thought as I rose of my seat. This is much bigger than worrying about getting a smily face stamp on your hand at the end of the day. This was much, much, bigger. This was Edward Anthony Cullen.

"Hello, Edward. It's been a long time." Charlie opened the door. I was still standing behind the couch.

"Yes, Sir. To long." His velvet voice travled to my ears almost causing my knees to buckle. "Is Bella ready to go?" He asked. My name rolled of his lips like music.

I sucked in a breath and walked around the corner into the entry way. He was standing beside the door, his hands in his jean pockets.

He had on a green button up chemise that the haut, retour au début three buttons were open, letting a white undershirt show. The green chemise made his eyes look like lush summer grass. He too had on a black jacket.

"I'm ready." I smiled. Who was I kidding? I was shitting nervous.

Edward

She rounded the corner and I almost choked. Her jeans hugged every curve but in a modest way. She had a white tanktop on that was tucked into her jeans. She was wearing a black veste with big siver buttons going down on one side. To my surpise, the was holding a purse.

"I'm ready." She smiled, though it was off. I could see something in her eyes that reminded me of the way I looked in the rear view mirror. She was nervous too.

She walked over to Charlie and I couldn't help but watch the way her hips moved. "By, Dad. Don't wait up if I'm not back before toi want to sleep." She looked at him sternly and I heard him mumble something along the lines of "Yes, Ma'am. Sheesh."

On the way there, I could see her everyone once in a while lean back in her siège and look toward the steering wheel at my hands. I tried to figure out what she was doing and laughed what it hit me.

I held up my left for her to see. "Not married, no kids, not even a girlfriend."

She smiled slightly, blushed and turned her head out the window.

"Don't worry." I laughed. I checked your hands at the airport." I told her.

She turned at me and smiled. "Can't help but wonder."

"No." I laughed. "You can't. So how is school going? Are toi still in school?"

"No, I graduated two years ago. I'm working now. What about you?" She smiled. "Are toi offically FBI?"

"Actaully for two years now." I smiled back.

"Agent Cullen." She smiled and looked out the windsheild.

Hearing Agent Cullen roll off her tongue sent shivers up my spine and a shock through my body.
"Before we start all this, do toi have a boyfriend?" I asked. Please say no. Please say no. Please say no.

"No." Thank god. She turned to look at me. "What about you? Do toi have a boyfriend?" she smiled.

I laughed and shook my head.

"What about a girlfriend?"

"No." I turned to look at her. "Not since you."

"Why?" She asked.

"Well, I couldn't find anyone. No one with bright yet dark brown eyes. No one with barely rose cheeks, ou rose rose lips. No one with brown hair that turned red in the sun. No one who smelled like freesha and lavender." I shrugged. "You know, no you."

"I know what toi mean." She sighed and looked out her window. "I went out once, with this guy named Sam. One date. But I couldn't. It wasn't the same. He didn't same my name like toi did, your have a crooked smile like toi do. He didn't smell like toi did. He wasn't you."

We sat in a comfortable silence for a bit before she turned on the radio and started chant to the song.
