chapter 5 (Forced)
As soon as the door closed behind me everything changed, David started pushing me down the dark slimy stairs, every time I tripped he would yank me up par my arm. The unknown guy and so called Shrek were behind David not saying one word.
“Where are we going?” I a dit trying not to slip over the last step.
“Your a new boy Luke, Just do as your told and it will be easy” his voice was kind but demanding.
David pushed me through the door into darkness of the night sky. I shivered it was cold out here, the moon shined bright in the night sky.
“David?” I a dit and turned round to face him.
“WHAT!” he spat, I wiped it off my face.
“What's is our mission exactly?” I never realized before but he was quite tall.
“Fine if it shuts toi up... A couple of years il y a this boy Michael gave his soul to the the devil-”
“James?” I butted in.
“YES shut up brat... but this Michael boy asked to be free, toi see he was only little he should be 17 now... same age as you. Well he was supposed to bring souls to... James each year, however this an he hasn't, so this is where we step in. End of” David finished with a sigh and told me to walk down the ally across the road, I did so.
As the four of us walked down the long ally I decided to brake the silence.
“Was toi there?” I added “When I got... Beaten up.” that word made my head buzz and made my stomach flip.
“Yes” he voice was emotionless.
“Why... WHY did toi do it... why my soul?” I expected to be upset but I wasn't I was angry.
“Ah but young one toi must understand we did not attend for toi to give your soul to the devil” he sounded intrigued “but” David added “It was fun doing it a-ha the fear in your eyes was worth it” he burst out laughing and so did the other two.
I felt angry of course but I also knew fighting him will lead no where. So for once I did nothing.
David put his hand on my shoulder and stopped me, I shrugged his shoulder off. “Don't touch me” I wanted to say much worse but I bit my lip and fought against it.
“Luke toi must understand in this life there is no good there just bad, toi might as well get used to it lad” David gave me a pat on my back and continued to walk down the dark ally, I followed.
We got to the end of the ally and across the rue was two shadowy figures. My new demon eyes glowed up there faces.
The boy of course my age, his green eyes shining like emeralds. His blond hair blowing in the wind, the girl however had long red hair, her eyes where green as well but a deeper color green then the boys.
They had not noticed us so we continued to walk over to them... so I took it the boy was Michael.
Suddenly Michael stiffened like he sensed us, he turned round slowly saw us and shouted “NO” the girl followed his gaze and saw us. Michael ran up to us leaving his friend ou girlfriend there...
Michael reached us and whispered “Can we do this some other time please David not in front of Karen please?” he begged, there was something amusing about him begging that made smile.
“No the devil has waited long enough for this soul I'll give toi two choices Mike:
1.You give over toi soul now.
2.We will take Karen's.
David gave Karen a wave she was sitting on the balançoire, swing looking curious.
“And what happens if I refuse both David?” Mike asked,
“Simple. We will take your soul and hers.” David a dit this blankly. To my surprise I was enjoying this... but somewhere in the back of my mind I knew it was very wrong to.
“I choose... Neither” suddenly Michael legged it.
“This should be fun” the unknown one said.
“I'll do it” I smirked. The adrenaline rush pulsing through my vein's.
“Go for it” David a dit surprised. I ran as fast as I could not running out of breath... it was great. This felt so right I loved it. I caught up with Michael in no time. I tackled him from behind he fell down with a thump. I turned him round so he was facing me.
“Hello Michael. I have not introduced myself I'm Luke” I smiled down at him I continued “I'm a new demon, and toi will soon be with us” I let out a burst of laughter.
“MIKE” I turned round it was Karen who was screaming running over to us.
“Stay out of this Karen” I pushed her away.
David and the crazy man appeared from nowhere and grabbed hold of her, she screamed and kicked but like anyone could hear her.
“Leave her alone” Michael coughed after I kicked him in the ribs. Karen continued to scream Michael name as I kicked him, telling him over and over again not to run away and give us his soul... but then it hit me just when Michael girlfriend Karen screamed his name just then Hannah voice came in my head... screaming my name, her trying get the gang members off her. I turned round to face Karen but to my surprise and confusion it was Hannah.
“N.. no” I stuttered I looked down at Michael only to find my own battered face staring back at me. Everything around me twisted and twirled it was only then I found myself in my bathroom leaning over the sink I coughed and spat in it, the dizziness had stopped. I looked up to check myself in the mirror to my horror the similar black eyes and same scar down my right cheek... I was Will.
