Renesmee



The howling stopped. Then the leader yelled as a tan loup attacked. He shot his gun, hitting Seth in the leg. The loup fell, and the man got up again.
“SETH!” Jacob and I yelled. I realized the man holding me let go in shock. I ran towards Seth, jumping away again as he turned to swirling smoke, forming the shape of a man. A bullet bounced away from the apparition. This man wasn’t as tall as Seth would be. I watched in horror as the features appeared to reveal MARK.
“Hold your fire, gentlemen,” Mark a dit grandly, spreading his arms out. “I take it toi won’t need these.”
The pistolets the thugs carried turned red in their hands, and they threw them down, howling in pain. Then they cried in fury as the pistolets melted into twisted metal. I felt a rough hand emballage, wrap around my neck when Mark wasn’t looking. Screaming, I was lifted and thrown into my own car. Mark turned, getting a full blast of the couteau that swung at him. Now Jacob was angry. He was trembling, head to foot. I screamed as a red brown loup suddenly appeared and threw the big thug guarding me over the cliff.
I jumped. There was a soft nudge at my stomach. No. I wasn’t-
Jacob nudged the car, startling me, when he turned to face the others. I felt the nudge at my belly again. I felt some kind of instinct power over me. MY BABY WAS IN DANGER.
I punched at the window behind me, and crawled out. Then I grabbed a heavy driftwood branch I had found hours earlier and walked to where Jacob was fighting. I swung at the thug closest to me, hitting him square on the head. Jacob now realized I joined the fight. He growled at me to tellme to stay away, but I bared my teeth at him and continued fighting. The last thug was ready to run, but suddenly was lifted into the air with the unconscious thug I took a balançoire, swing at.
Mark rejoined the fight.
The last thug dropped unconscious.
“They’ll wake up and think this was a bad dream,” Mark said. “Unfortunately, the big one was dashed against the rocks when Jacob threw him.”
Icouldn’t stand any longer. I fell to theground.
“Nessie!” Mark yelled. “No! Jacob! Find clothes first!”
I felt large, warm hands hold me. One was on my back, the other draped over my stomach.
“Renesmee! What’s wrong? Tell me!” Jacob yelled.
I couldn’t find my lips. Then I heard the rush of many feet.
“Jacob, what happened?”
“Renesmee! Girl, wake up!”
“What happened here?”
I heard the pack’s voices, but only listened to one as they all faded.
“Renesmee, are you…”
I felt the soft nudge as everything tumbled into darkness.

“Sam, let me see her.”
“I don’t know if that’s-“
“Let. Me. In!”
The door burst open. Jacob ran to my side.
“Renesmee, you… You’re… I…”
“You’re going to be a father,” I whispered. “Where am I?”
“At my old home. You’re going to be fine.”
“What room is this?”
“Mine.”
His. There was something about that that made me tingle inside. He kissed me urgently on the lips. I pushed him away.
“Where’s my parents?”
“Downstairs. They have permission.”
“Do they know?”
“Not yet.”
Jacob lifted my left hand where the ring should’ve been. I felt like crying. I Lost my ring. Then Jacob surprised me par putting it back on my left ring finger.
“How-“
“Mark retrieved it, and fled. Your parents think he’s dead.”
I sighed as my parents entered the room. Time to face my fate.
