Should I read the series before watching the movie ou after?

I'm interested in the story, but I'm not sure what the most enjoyable way to get started is.

Seriously i am book nerd, so yeah toi might think i say read the books. But if toi havent started, then go and watch the movie first. Simple as that, toi might be dissapointed otherwise, cause toi have your own images about what people look like, what they talk like....things like that. if toi cant wait though till all films come out, then read the livres and then just dont expect too much from the films [and no, i am not a hater.- i loved the movie]

It was SO nice to read the book afterwards, all the small details got explained and the twilight universe that I already loved I came to l’amour even more.

In that way toi wont get disappointed par the movie either.

I enjoy lire livres first (before the movies) with any series. Typiclly (and in the case of the Twilight Series,) the livres are much better then the films because of all the details. It's also better to read the book first because it's fun picturing the characters and later comparing them to the movie. If toi watch the movie toi have no imagination for what everything looks like.

lire the livres first allows for plus creativity and plus enjoyment out of lire the books. (When lire first toi can't put the livres down because toi want to know what happens.)

they left out a LOT in the movie thats not in the book so the movie is kind of choopy and fast pace toi have to have read the livres to really get the movie and enjoy it.

I watched the film first and after when I read the book I understood why Edward does certain things in the movie, for example, in their first biology class, why Edward was jouer la comédie weird towards her.

I would recommend lire the livres first though, because then toi feel like toi know the characters more.

In my personal opinion i would read first because if toi watch the movie first toi are greatly confused when toi read the book, my friend had to ask me so many questions about why the heck this was happening when it didn't happen in the movie, so unless your amazing and think toi can do it go for it. PS: i read a little above college level so i think toi should take my advice.

I normally read the livres first when it comes to ones that have been made into films however this time i deviated from and watched the movie first and after watching the movie it made me want to read the livres even more. As of this posting i have reread the livres plus than i have re-watched the movie, but it really all comes down to your personal choice.

It depends on you, because if you're a movie sort of person, toi can start on the movie first then the book. But then when toi start the book first toi would have the facts in the movie and the plus toi can understand the movie.

But in some movies, they cut some important parts and if toi start with movie toi wouldn't enjoy the book much because toi would like predict what is going to happen and there's not much excitement in that. So I suggest that toi read the book first.

The livres first so toi will understand the movie better. that way toi won't be watching trying to figure out why the characters are doing what they do. but, toi might not like the movie afteer the livres because they don't go par the book exactly, which is annoying if toi fall in l’amour wth the books. When I saw the trailer for New Moon, I go t a little aggravated with the way they had manipulated some of the scenes. it will be plus interesting to toi if toi invision the characters, etc. in your mind before toi try to adapt to the movie. toi may not like the actors they chose for the characters. for example, I was not really crazy about Kristen Stewart as Bella and I'm still not, but its up to you.

I never read the book before I watched it and was gripped par it from the seconde the dialogue started...I then bought the DVD and quickly became obsessed while I waited for my Book Box set to arrive...20 days later...
I then Rushed to read Twilight.. and loved every seconde of it.. I even enjoyed the differences because it added depth and another dimention for me, because there were mini stories within the story,And so it was exciting and I loved every page...And I couldnt wait to read New Moon...
But now I have...Thank goodness I stopped there,
Because now i know what will happen in the Movie... Which saddens me because I am a Movie Fanatic, and I l’amour being totally engrossed in a Movie, and feeling all the feelings and confusion and pase that goes along with it... But when toi know how it will end...doesnt that spoil it for you?
So... What I am doing is waiting for New Moon - I will watch it - and then decide if I will finnishe the livres before Watching the rest of the movies...

Somehow I honestly believe WATCHING these specific films first is the Right way to do this... Then go deeper...Read it at leisure...

And besides, Its so much nicer to have images of Edward Cullen in my head (of Robert Pattinson) than to have imagined him any other way...
And the Soundtrack is so captivating, I can hear it in my head while lire it...and long after...

Robbert is hot, but hotness of a man is not something that should be the basics of if toi like a serie ou not.

I, personally, watched the films before lire the books. However, in my opinion, the livres are just a little better, so I think toi would be able to enjoy the series plus that way. If toi enjoy the books, you'll l’amour the movies.

If toi read the livres first, do toi find yourself getting irritated par any parts which get omitted ou changed? Does seeing the films first affect your ability to imagine the characters and scenes your own way?

I read the first book then saw the first film before lire the rest of series. I enjoyed them that way, but I think I'd have enjoyed as much if I'd read all the livres first, ou watched all the films first. They stay pretty true to the livres (or true enough not to irritate me, anyway, unlike certain other series). The films tell the story well enough that I think people could follow it without needing to read the livres first. But then there's one scene which is changed and I think the change was plus shocking and had plus impact for me because I'd read that part of the book and was expecting it to stick to canon (trying to be vague so that if toi read the livres first, toi might be shocked in the same way).
