Do toi think that boys hate twilight because they are jealous of Edward?

im A boy and i'll give toi the answer .... guy like twilight but don't want girl to see them enjoying emotional semi sentimental film

not jealous...but unable to live up to Edwards devotion to Bella...and most boys think romance is "icky"... :)

idk, i mean i know a few guys who have read it, and they l’amour it, my friend marco is in l’amour with alice like we are with edward...or jacob for toi dog fans(haha)...but like some of the guys i know tell me that twilight is gay and they hate it...even though i dont know why, i gave this guy forrest a black eye the other jour for saying that when he went to see twilight it was a waste of time and it was a piece of shit story.

I'm dead sure I know why boys don't like Twilight. It's because it's the ultimate chick flick! Sure, it has vampires... vampires that sparkle in the sun like pretty arc en ciel diamonds instead of turning to stone ou bursting into a million pieces like they're supposed to. Oh and instead of being some awesome ferral Supernatural creature which wreaks havoc on the human world, they just happen to quite lovely. Well the Cullens do at least.
The main reason I l’amour it is because of Edward and how perfect he is. And I l’amour the l’amour triangle with Jacob. It's obviously a book to appeal to every girl about the world's most perfect guy. Guys just don't want to read about unbeatable competition!
There are exceptions but most of them hate it.

i don't know if it's that they are jealous ou if it is that most aren't willing to give it a chance. they think it is a girl thing and therefore only girls can like it. if they got caught liking it they would be gay. In my opinion it is stupid that they hate it without giving it a chance.

I don't think they are jealous of a fictional character. Why would they care? I think most guys dislike Twilight because it's a chick thing, for girls, it's a l’amour story with romance and shit, which I don't think guys are really into, all that much, to be honest. They want 'cool' vampires and loads of action, not 'I l’amour you' smoosh. My boyfriend found the movie very slow and boring until it got to James. He thinks my l’amour for Twilight is a teenie-girlie obsession.
But - can't toi get Twilight stuff for GUYS at Hot Topic?... and I know of this guy Ben, who loves Twilight.

Ok boys in my school say that edward is weird and ugly but there jealous!

When I went ot see it in the cinema I went with a whole group of friends. I was the only one who had read the livres but i refused to tell any of the boys any details just incase they didnt want to watch it. But afterwards most of them loved it. But I think the film ruined the story, in the end i was the one saying i hated it, MDR only because i think they could have made it a HELL of a lot plus like the book. I l’amour the book!

twilight is like a topic that we NEVER discuss at school..Of course us girls talk about it, but we never talk about it with the boys..*shrug*

I dont think guys are jealous of Edward exactly but i think that they hate the standard he sets. I mean, like girls - me included- l’amour Edward and probably read Twilight Saga over and over and then expect other guys to be the same.

Um, I'm pretty sure that's not the reason although I bet if I were the type of girl who went on and on about Edward my friend Adam would be jealous (LOL, eventhough I don't like like Adam I think he like likes me and he got all freaked out when I was obsessive over this one actor) anyway, I think most heterosexual men probably find the story of a sentimental sparkly guy quite cheesy. That's just my best guess.
