Attention all symphonic metal fans!! Have any of you ever saw that one commercial with people in symphonic metal bands singing Christmas songs with heavy guitars? It looked so amazing and omg I want to attend a concert of that near me so badly! They said that they’re coming to city near you! They also have an album for all those songs and I want it, also I can show my family with that disc that metal is awesome and NOT “evil"….. I want to go to one of their concerts and buy the album.

The Dreamside’s Sorrow Baring Tree is amazing.


Illuminata and their album Where Stories Unfold needs more recognition right now. If you search for epic cinematic symphonic metal with perfect orchestration (performed by Czech Film Orchestra) you should check them out. Really guys, Illuminata needs some more love.


IMO, Tristania’s Beyond the Veil and World of Glass & Sirenia’s At sixes and sevens are the most complex albums those bands ever made.

Iron by Within Temptation should totally be the theme song for the entire Resident Evil video game series.


I like Capri’s version of “Sunrise” better than Heidi’s. I feel like she sings it with much more emotion.

Tbh I used to listen to symphonic metal in the 11th grade for a little while, I wish I go back to enjoying it again…….


I hate Tristania so much. Not because of Mariangela, I really dislike her voice but it’s not her fault she was chosen to join the band, I’m sure she’s doing her best. What I really hate is how Anders could decide to keep this band going even though ALL the members (including the founding members!) left, except for him. I know Einar ended up staying in the end, but he doesn’t even play live anymore. Almost everybody left, the music is completely different, why the hell do they go by the same name? I just find it so dishonest. Mariangela doesn’t deserve any hate, but Tristania do.


Im sorry, I understand praising people. But sometime Marco comes off as kissing Tuomas @## sometimes.


I remember when i used to have a crush with Tuomas Holopainen 10 years ago, now he gave me nauseous every time I see a picture of him.


In regard to 16223: I have no idea who McJuggernuggets it, but I would like to take an educational break here and make the distinction between grandiose narcissists (which is what most people think of when they hear about narcissism: the “I think I’m perfect and amazing and I have no faults!“ type, which is why a lot of people get offended when Tuomas is branded a narcissist because he doesn’t overtly express this kind of statement) and vulnerable narcissists who are much more subtle about their self-centered nature, tend to be highly emotionally sensitive, over-compensate due to feelings of low self-esteem, alternate between feelings superiority and inferiority, and may lash at out those who they feel have defied them or not treated them as they see fit with more covert tactics rather than the grandiose narcissist who would opt to make a big emotional scene right away. So, as you can see, narcissism does not just fit one model, and when people call Tuomas a narcissist I can kind of see what they’re saying when it comes to the vulnerable model. Of course, I don’t know him so I can’t say that for sure, but I can definitely understand why people might think that.


Anette has some beautiful legs and feet and judging by her Instagram feed, I think she knows it. :)

I have a very special love to those bands who replaced a lyrical singer to a clean or rock voice. I just love the evolution in Nightwish, Tristania, Amberian Dawn, and Diablo Swing Orchestra ♥


Ugh, seeing anything about Nightwish strikes a nerve & makes me feel angry (& I used to be a fan!). Their music has been completely overshadowed by their actions towards their former vocalists, and I can’t hear their name, let alone listen to their music, without thinking about all that crap. I dislike Tuomas most of all, but I don’t get the impression that any of those guys ever stuck up for the women. They’ve acted like complete a**holes and I can’t (and won’t) listen to their music anymore.


It’s interesting how people are pointing out how Nightwish treated their previous singers like dirt and yet there’s still people defending them and their actions. Once an ass kisser always an ass kisser, I guess.
