It was just another day. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and everyone was doing what they normally do. It was the start of the summer of 1939. In the middle of a war. It was sûr, sans danger here, most of the time. Everyone carried on like they always did, selling fruit on the market stalls, children drooling at the millions of different sweets on the shelves above them, and then running around, playing airplanes. Amongst all this was a house, with a family, that lived happily. Almost.
This family were the Nicholson family. They lived together in a big, fancy house, but not too fancy. The head of the family was Jennifer Nicholson, the mother. Her husband was killed whilst fighting for the country a an before. The family also consists of George - a 19 an old boy who's aim in life is to follow in his father's footsteps, to rejoindre the army, and make him proud. Then there's Charles and Olivia - the twins of the family. Although similar in some ways, they are very different and sometimes do not always agree.
suivant is Marissa who is very confident and cares very dearly for her siblings. After her is Alfred who would also like to rejoindre the army but in a few years time. Alfred sometimes hides behind his brother's shadow and is often afraid to speak against him. Last but not least,Daniel. This 13 an old has a lot to say for himself and will do anything for attention. This family may seem like a mixed bunch, but they scrub up well.
Today was not a special day, just normal it seemed. Daniel was planning to play out with his friends. His brown hair and coco eyes made it hard to say no. Daniel climbed the stairs to his mother's room, to find her laying up in bed. "Mother, what's wrong?" he asked curiously.
"Oh it's nothing. I just feel a bit dizzy, that's all." Jennifer said, trying not to worry him.
"Oh okay. Well can I go see my friends?" Daniel asked. "Oh, toi mean Jonathan and Tommy? If so, then of course!" she replied happily. "Thankyou Mother!" He answered, gleefully. He headed out the door and down the stairs.
The stairs were long and wide. The banister was used plus for sliding down than for holding on to. Daniel didn't hesitate to slide down, and he did so. He was too excited about the jour ahead. Daniel, Tommy and Jonathan were going to meet up with some girls they new from the town. He really like one of them so he tried to look his best. Daniel was a bit of a charmer, some might say, and always tried to impress people, especially the ladies. As he walked through the hall, he took one last look in the mirror and then strolled out the door.

Chapter One: I walked across the Merdog plage in my blue v-neck bikini. I walked towards the shore-line. chiens were all playing together at the wonderful dog beach. "Lucky!" I called to my 6 mois old German Shepperd,"Here boy!" Lucky came zipping towards me and knocked me over into the clear water.
I laughed as I sat up in the ankle deep water."Oh boy!" I laughed, "Are toi hungry? Are toi hungry? I bet toi are!" Lucky's tail wagged like there was no tomorrow. I ran up the plage to the Dog Shack.
"Hi Rosie! What can I get toi today?" a dit the young employee, Jackson. "Can I have the steak tips 'n' gravy, please?" I a dit smiling at the cute boy.
"Sure! This time I'll trow in a mangue smoothie free." replied Jackson. "Thank toi so much!" I a dit happily. Mangoes were my favori fruit. "Hey Rosie do toi have any plans for tonight?" asked Jackson. "Yes. I am going to dîner with Carson. Why?" I said.
