Some people fantastize about the sonic characters. I'm not going to judge, it's their fetishes anyway. And everybody has fetishes and we wouldn't want them to judge ours right?

NO not every girl ou guy want to have sex with the characters but if they dream about it's their prerogative to think that but alot of the fangirls/boys have gone way overboard. It's not necessary they should tell everybody their fetish and be crude about it. Every fandom will have someone wanting to have sex with a character. But NOT every fanboy/girl wants to do that though.
