Congratulations to Scotty McCreery for not only having the #1 album in all genres this past week, but for also landing a nomination for this year's American Country Awards! The 'American Idol' winner has been nomiated in the 'New Artist' category!

Scotty Calls Golf "Peaceful"

I'd call it a boring, tedious, frustrating sport. But I guess peaceful works, too. That's how Scotty McCreery described golf when he told me he'd be spending part of Tuesday (Nov. 15) playing at the Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia.

When I asked him how he'd spent the jour getting ready for the CMA Awards last week, he said, "I was gonna go hit golf balls, but it didn't happen. I got a new set of clubs I wanted to try. Scotty McCreery's older sister, Ashley McCreery, who is currently studying at UNC charlotte says that she struggled with finding her brother a Christmas gift this year, stating "He has everything!"
