In a récent interview with the Boston Globe, Scotty McCreery reveals that there is "technically going to be one cover" that makes its way onto his debut album, Clear As Day, which is set to be released in October.
Scotty was kind enough to share that one already populaire country étoile, star may be playing guitare on a track:
"It’s going to be all originals. There’s technically going to be one cover. Keith Urban pitched a song my way, and it’s one he did way back when he was part of the band called the Ranch. He’s on tour right now so we don’t know, but he a dit he might play guitare on the track."
Some of toi may have noticed Scotty's unique way of holding a microphone during the early rounds of the 'American Idol' competition, this is what he has to say about it:
"I don’t know what the heck that was. I think it’s just because I’m used to pitching, and that’s how I hold the ball in the gant with the limp wrist in the glove. I never held a mike before “American Idol.’’ I just had my mike stand with my guitar. So I think it naturally happened like that and then naturally changed back to normal to where I didn’t look like a fool."
The 17 an old was also asked whether he found it "beneficial" to be dealing with everything post-"Idol" with someone who shared the same experience (Lauren Alaina):
"It’s got its pros and its cons. We’re both country and we’re both doing this together, so it’s a cool little thing. But we both want to be looked at as individual artists, and we talked to our managers about not making us look like the suivant Conway [Twitty] and Loretta [Lynn]. But it is fun to get to do this together, so it’s all good."
What to expect with Clear As Day:
"It’s not going to be poppy. That’s one thing we stayed away from. I grew up with the old-school stuff, so I didn’t want to completely stray from that. We’ve got the rocker songs, the uptempo stuff. But when we slow it down, the songs get plus intimate, and toi can definitely hear some of the plus classic elements."

Im hitting the foins, hay tho. Another jour of school tmrrw. Working a bunch of songs coming up for the holidays! Cant wait for yall to hear!
Will we be hearing new Scotty McCreery songs come Christmas time? That seems awfully soon to produce a whole new album - not that his fans would mind, I'm sure!
It cannot simply be a Christmas single as he says "a bunch of songs" that we'll be hearing! What do toi think?

That’s the most for an American Idol winner since David Cook’s debut sold 280k in Nov. 2008, and the first champ to bow at #1 with his initial release since seconde season champ Ruben Studdard’s Soulful topped the chart in 2003.
