My xbox remote moved by itself,then i saw a small pale boy in my bathroom i was scared

I've had a few experiences. My house has had activity in it since my family moved into it in the late 70's. I myself have heard bare footsteps on the tiled floor at night while everyone is in bed sleeping. I've heard dishes being moved, and picture frames fall off the wall on the own. My digital camera has turned on more than once. Our door bell rings every night (we have surveillance cameras outside with the doorbell in plain sight and no one can be seen ringing the bell). We've done EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) sessions, and have gotten "We're coming" from disembodied voices, we've heard "I love you" from a male voice (we think this voice may be the voice of my father who passed away in 2003). Some of it is somewhat creepy, but some of it is very comforting!

Um, it's not that "I wouldn't know if I had or not, I try not to let the Paranormal into my life," it's that I strongly believe the paranormal is nonexistent. Most claimed paranormal experiences that are investigated turn out to be absolutely explicable and normal. With the very, very few that aren't, I believe that simple things have been overlooked, seeing as the explanations are often very simple. (Or, if they're the televised ghost hunter shows, you figure their "proof" is highly questionable. The networks would do anything to get a show, so they slap a bunch of blind idiots in a "haunted place," give them a few instruments and let them fool around.) Anyway, the existence of souls has never been proven, if that's what you think ghosts are made of. And, for it to be a ghost in this world, it would have to be tangible, in this dimension, wouldn't it?

@80s-Gal: The footsteps and the dishes? It's entirely possible that someone in your family is up without you knowing, right? Or that they sleepwalk? Or that there's another animal that's gotten in your house? Or that a draft causes sounds to be heard and pictures to fall? Photos fall off the wall at my house occasionally too, and there have been no "violent deaths" in my home. They slip, maybe never having fit right from the beginning. You did say your house has been around since at least the 70's. Old houses fall into disrepair. Decaying woods, rusting metals, and loosening parts could explain a lot of what you're experiencing, both inside the house and out. Things break, don't they? Machines are not perfect. And the voices? Christ, I don't believe in any of that. I believe in interferences, and human experiences not allowing logic. I'm sure you will agree that people often see patterns and find meaning in data that is essentially meaningless. Humans have always managed to "make sense" of the random because they are so determined to find something. Ever hear of that talking husky who says "I love you"? Well, huskies can't actually speak, but people hear what they want to hear. Maybe the person doing those EVP sessions was conning you. Maybe you were picking up other nearby people or broadcasts. Maybe there's so much other white noise that you could make any sound you wanted to make.

There are an infinite number of possible explanations.

@r-pattz: No one in the house was awake at the time of the footsteps and the sound of the dishes being moved. There may be explanations that are normal, but once the other evidence is debunked you are left with Paranormal activity. The EVP sessions we've held, we made sure all animals were secluded in a different part of the house. And no one in the house was male. My mom and I heard the voice on the tape recorder after reviewing the tape the next day. If you are so close minded to the possibility of Ghosts, then why did you even leave a comment.

I was alone in my room, fixing the bed. I left my cell phone face down on my bed. I took a quick glance at it, and I saw that the screen lit up and it had moved a little to the right. I picked up my phone and it didn't have any messages, plus the fact that it was on complete silence. I was creeped out, so I ran downstairs to my mom.

@80s-Gal even if these experiences are real or not, u have to respect other people's opinions. if they think its fake, then its not ur problem. its their opinion, not yours. i have to agree with them though. some friend of mine told me that he was at school and there were ghosts. who knows? maybe its true or maybe its not true. who knows?

Sounds a bit rude to me, unless God needs to have mercy on everyone's soul for them to be able to go to Heaven. And if that's the case, I think His standards are a bit high.

All that video shows is white noise and people claiming things. It's quite easy to lie and say you felt or heard something you didn't. It's also easy to get paranoid (he himself said he was paranoid) when you're in a supposedly haunted place. Brains play tricks on people. Haven't I already explained this to you?

That video is filled with people saying they "felt" something watching them, "felt" something touch them. Feelings are not proof.

However, no one has ever provided a single argument that would make the existence of ghosts possible. I'm not asking for those easily faked Ghost Hunters videos. I'm asking for a scientific explanation as to how it would be possible. I'm asking for someone to give me something to consider. I'd hoped you would be that person, but I was very mistaken. I’ve tried to think of many places it could go, but all I can think of, is that it goes into ghost form. We can’t see ghosts. We can’t see many energies, either.

There is a lot of fake crap out there. Stupid shows that claim they are hunting ghosts but are purely theatrical. Ghost Hunters is one of the few shows that I’ve seen that are legit. Ghosts are real, there is tons of proof (pictures, videos, etc.)

It stays in your body when you die and goes wherever when you decompose, I think. Into the ground where it gets consumed by other organisms. Energy is constantly being reused in the circle of life.

Two questions for you.

First, energy cannot be created like you said, so where would energy come from if it wasn't reused?

Second, if ghosts are only energy, how would they interact with people?

On the Ghost Hunters thing... Well, I've already responded to that multiple times. So let's move past that.

The way they can interact with people is through Photos, Videos, EVP's, EMF, K-2 Meters, and so on. Many devices have been made to detect the presence of Ghosts.

On the Ghost Hunters thing: People spend their life debunking what they do too. If they catch a Ghost on Tape and people (like you) who are close minded don't want to believe it, then they just try to humiliate the Hunters by calling them liars, and frauds and what not. I've seen those videos before and since the Ghost Hunters haven't even responded to these stupid people I will continue to support and watch them...

I'll be the first to admit that I know very little about exorcism. Nothing of the history or anything. I pretty much just know the definition. But this is what I think exorcisms were: People with mental illnesses would be proclaimed to have been possessed. People with, I dunno, Tourette's or something. (Although I suppose people with that would have had failed exorcisms, now that I think about it...) But people with other illnesses, like dissociative identity disorder or something, would think they'd been saved or whatever. Like the placebo effect, thinking you took a pill to make you better when all it was was sugar.

i know that they r true becauze:

those stories r in history,we know the years of some exorcism & we know people that were pessessed,there r videos of exorcism & photos
ghosts can't do that,demons do that-that's why i belive in demons & if there is a demon there must b a God too

And stories are just that, stories. Just go back to my other post, as well, the one that explains what I think all those exorcisms were. Placebos, hoaxes, illnesses, attention-seekers.

Such a heated argument about something that CAN'T be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. @80s-Gal: I personally believe in Ghosts, and I am a HUGE fan of Ghost Hunters. I've seen the "fraudulent" videos on YouTube and the people making them are questionable at best, they have no definitive proof that the Ghost Hunters are frauds, and since Jason or Grant have not said one way or another I'm sticking with the Ghost Hunters until I'm proven wrong by Jason and Grant, and the rest of the TAPS team. And @r-pattz: You can't prove that Ghosts DON'T exist, and asking for proof that they do, is really hard to come by, because anything submitted would be shot down and picked apart just like the "fraudulent" videos on YouTube. For true believers Ghosts do exist, and you can't sway them in another decision.

@valleygirl: Beyond absolute doubt, no, you cannot. However, you can present strong arguments for both sides until irrefutable evidence has been given. That's what I'm looking for here - strong arguments. That's what I want to hear. I'm not looking to change any minds; I just wanted to hear out the arguments of some believers and hoped to be given something to mull over. This discussion isn't quite to that point yet, though.

I am interested in the paranormal, but wouldn't want such experiences to happen to me

I do sort of believe in ghosts/spirits but not for any particular reason (I've never had an 'experience' or whatever') but I'm not really sure.. I find it really fascinating though.

@r-pattz: The only reason I decided to leave when I did is because my Mother always taught me to believe that arguing over something is a waste of time. Plus, life is too short!

We had the radio on for outside (we have speakers outside) and I go ask my friends if the music was loud enough, and once I go up on my pool deck the music goes really loud, and when I went back inside it was all the way up, and the glass door, was closed almost all the way when I left it all the way opened...and my parents were up stairs.
