A Point of View: Why do people relate to fictional characters?

People are always looking for plus than what the world has to offer. People l’amour the idea of fantasies and different worlds, where far plus interesting stuff can happen and the possibilities are limitless. Because of this, it is quite easy to relate to characters toi share similarities with, think are cool, ou think are cute etc.

I guess it's fun to see yourself in people, as a writer.. Sort of, I put pieces of me in most of my characters..

Fiction ou not, being able to relate is easy when one has a good understanding of others and mostly themselves. Of course the frequency varies depending on the person. It's not any different than being able to understand and empathize with someone suivant to toi in real life. Just that in most cases we are donné plus if not the whole picture of a dit Character in Fiction hence they are easier for us to get behind. Not to mention personal feelings won't be getting in the way for certain cases since there is no direct involvement. We might already be sharing traits of them, behaving similarly ou finding ourselves under circumstances that are much alike to theirs. We might even get inspired and want to / end up becoming much plus like them in the process. Taking after the images of our admiration. It's one of Fiction's most defining characteristics. There are the doses of truth that might also get exaggerated donné the bigger freedom existing in comparison to our reality. Something people in general yearn for. Less restrictions in order for them to be truly (or plus like fully to be plus accurate) themselves. Hence why Relatabilities also possess an Inward and Outward side. Again, they vary depending on the person. In the end, each Relatable is a piece of the puzzle to form yourself (some being larger than others and vice versa) and it can be pretty fun to explore. There are all sorts of ways this Subject can be applied. That would be my basic gist of it, I suppose !!!!

Idk I think that it makes people feel less alone ou perhaps understand themselves a little more. I think that it can also be nice to see a fictional character in your same situation get some healing because it's either motivating ou makes it seem possible for the real person.
