Do toi prefer plus easy to understand story ou plus abstract? Which is your favori example of it

I prefer plus abstract stories because they add a lot plus to the story, making toi come back and learn it to see what the theme, symbolism and global, ensemble understanding of it is
My favori example is Silent colline 2, but one of my plus récent favoris is Killer7

Interesting question

I can't say it's clear cut either one of the other for me. Stories too straightforward are boring. Stories so abstract and artsy come off as pretentious and impossible to follow.

So I l’amour a good in between, a story that has a clear enough narrative but nothing is spoon fed to the viewer, opens room for fan theories and such. An example would be Donnie Darko. The kind of film where it's fking amazing on seconde watch when pieces start coming together with new perspective. But the first view you're sat there a little confused but still intrigued.
