Why do toasters always have a setting on them which burns your pain grillé to a horrible crisp no one would eat?

Some people like it like that. <dirty joke

But seriously toi might put it in when it's La Reine des Neiges so then toi can defrost it and pain grillé it.

i have no clue but it pisses me off a lot.....and i hate the ones with the little dials that if toi even déplacer the dial just a hair width it'll burn it badly

My grille-pain doesn't have that. My dad toasts croissants in the morning and it's fine. It doesn't burn it to a "horrible crisp". Mine has a timer on it and I stay there until I think it's toasted well enough. One time my dad didn't watch it and the whole thing really was burnt to a "horrible crisp".
