I think they both have merit when done with conscience, heart, and moral value. (I believe in Spirituality over religion ou over either of these~) BECAUSE, I could, if need be, live without science but I could not ou would not want to live without my God.
Both of them are really important, there are many reason to explain .. But i think the plus important is religion .. But, science can make toi smart, and i like science
Religion and science both play important roles. I think religion is important to lay as your foundation. It will determine what toi believe about yourself and about people in general. Morals are very important. Sience without a moral base can have catastophic effects. All toi need to do is look at Nazi medical research to see how bad the results can be. Science with a moral base, helps build mankind. It gives understanding on how the universe works. Science has changed the quaility of life people can enjoy. Religion and Science are to different fields of study. When conducted with a fair open mind, I see no contradiction between the two.
They're both important. I've tried believing in various stuff, but my scientific mind always finds an explanation to weird stuff I've been trying to believe. I guess it depends on each person. Do toi think the pope thinks science is plus important than religion ? And a scientific working on the Big Bang theory, do toi really think he believes that a God created the world ? Both are important because both give réponses to questions people have always been asking themselves, whether those réponses are true ou not.
