umm i need help

ok in literature in school i have to read a book called Stargirl and she has a toy wagon that she puts pebbles in to represent how happy she is. There can be up to 20 pebbles in her wagon any where around 20 means shes in a good mood and anywhere around 1 is a bad mood. What would cause toi to have a 2 pebble day? What wuold cause toi to have a 19 pebble day? Tanx u bunches
