Thinking about Atheism...

I'm trying to decide whether to 'convert' to Atheism. It feels plus like my beliefs, but I'm not sure for two reasons:

1. Atheism would mean I had made a definate choice about God, and I'm not sure whether I want to ou not.

2. It sounds silly, but Atheism has so many negative connotations, such as 'immoral'.

So, in short, could someone please tell me plus about Atheism and your own individual thoughts so I can make a choice?

I'm currently an agnostic.

toi don't have to decide now. But if toi look at the evidence, there IS a God. It makes scientific sense, and if toi read livres like "The Case for a Creator" par Lee Strobel, toi will see that smart people believe in God (no offense to those who don't, as I'm sure toi can be smart without believing).

toi are a child of God and He loves toi so much. If toi turn your back on Him, you're losing everything. But if toi remain faithful to him, you're gaining everything.

Well, I don't think Einstein believed in a God. I'd like to see a real source because I find it hard to believe.

Yeah, and I KNOW my life is complete. If I gte pregnant, I'll get abortion, And I use condoms, I'm not an idiot. End up ruining my life? Well, I can also be hit par a car when I go out later tonight, but I'm not worried. I live one jour at a time, and I don't need a 2000 an old book to tell me how I'm supposed to life my life.

1. If you're not sure if God exist ou not, toi should remain an agnostic.
2. Atheists can be just as 'good' and live par good morals as a christian, muslim ou a jew. It's stupid to define people based on their religion.

I think atheism is fine, if toi really don't believe in God, but I'll stick to Agnosticism. From what you've said, I think toi should do so too.

I generally don't believe in "labels", even if toi don't mean it this way. toi don't need to convert into anything if toi are not sure. toi can stay a free thinker, which is the best thing in my opinion; judging free from any ideological "mould". I don't know almost anything about agnostics, so I don't know if what I a dit above is what they do.=)

Generally about the subject, I do believe in God cause when I try not to I just... can't ours the thought. I'm baptised Christian Orthodox but that's just because of the family tradition; I don't really care what christians think, I just like what Jésus a dit about l’amour towards everyone! As far as it concerns God I believe in what a greek writer, Kazantakis, a dit in one of his livres (translation par me, kinda lousy); "Each race and each era gives God its own mask; but behind all the masks, there is, in all eras and in all races, the same always God.
We have the traverser, croix as a sacred sign, the older ancestors had the labrys; but behind the traverser, croix and the labrys I perceive and I worship, setting aside the ephemeral symbols, the true God." And all in all I think that the best we should do is not care too much about god, religion and questions we could never answer, but just enjoy life!=)
