Why are some people offended par a statement such as "That's so gay"?

I just never really understood it.

Most of the people I know who have a dit this have nothing against homosexuality. They mean no harm to gay people whatsoever. I'll even admit this, sometimes I use this when I'm in a certain mood. And when I say this, I usually mean to say that something is corny ou silly. What I a dit when saying "That's so gay" has nothing to do with homosexual people.

I mean, I really don't take offense to it. And I'm bi. Of course I'm aware of other people's feelings and thoughts being completely different than mine.

But it's just....I don't understand the insult that others could see in something like that.

Can someone please explain it to me?

But it's offensive to homosexuals because the person who says "That's so gay" is meaning to insult who/whatever they're talking to/about, as if being gay really is a bad thing.

It's like saying "That's so Asian" ou "That's so Goth".

I don't think so.

The word '' gay '' means, Happy in old terms, but in modern jour society it means Same Gender Relations. So par someone saying '' Thats so Gay ''

1.) It makes absolute no political sense
2.) Its a dit in a negative way implying that being Gay is something negative.


JUST USE WORDS AS THEY WERE INTENDED!! IT'S NOT ROCKET SCIENCE!!!!!!!!!
