I just want to share a story; the reason why I love poetry.
I've been going through something for a while now and no matter how much i think that i'm getting over it, it just comes back harder than before. Today, I couldn't take it anymore so I texted my friend, "I don't think that I can take this anymore I think that I am giving up on life before it gives up on me!" I was on my last, didn't know where to go, who to talk to because I'm too ashamed, afraid that people will not talk to me anymore, afraid that they'll scorn me or judge the situation too quickly, i'm too afraid that they'll let their impression determine their conclusion. I picked up my pen and just started writing and that was the best thing I did for the day or in a while. I immediately felt the burden being lifted off me, I don't know if it was God or my letting it out but I feel SO MUCH BETTER NOW and I'm no longer contemplating on whether I should end it all.
