A glint in the eye, the puff of a breath, the beat of a heart, legs without rest.
A tooth of a dagger, the claw of a sword, the fur of long grass, the tail of a jackrabbit’s ear.
Determination, power, hunger, speed.
A sound, a smell, a tiny movement.
The taste of blood rushes into the brain, the hunt, the skill, the precision.
Memories, ideas, thoughts.
One movement, one chance.
One may live, one may die.
A glint in the eye, the loudening breath, the fast beating heart, legs may now rest.
The time is over, the memories fade, but, they will return another day.
