Tribute to Private - The Penguin's Lament

jackandjill2 Okay. This song HAD to be used in a Penguins video at some point. It was inevitable. That said, Private seemed to be the best fit for this song - I was thinking of Kowalski, but it just didn't work. I really have no idea who performs this song - I'm on my school's debate team and we have a soundtrack of songs that we always play before tournaments to pep ourselves up (our theme song/catchphrase is "Eye of the Tiger") and this was on it.

SJF_Penguin2 I enjoyed that. It could fit any penguin, but especially Private and his size and cuteness. To me, the beginning of the song sounded a lot like Five for Fighting, with the ending sounding like something done by the Brian Setzer Orchestra. I searched a few lyrics on Google to see if I could find out who cut the song, but there were few mentions of the song on the Internet. However, I put the few pieces I found together and what I discovered shocked me completely. The song, called "Penguin's Lament," was written by a woman named Sandra Boynton for her book/CD "Dog Train." And who recorded the song? John Ondrasik, a.k.a. Five for Fighting.
