Pierce Takes Charge

June 2, 1953

Perviously on Ponies On The Rails, Gordon went into Portland, and Pete had to go see what he was up to. During that, Pete put Hawkeye in charge of things while he was away. This is what happened.

At the Cheyenne train station, Pete was relaxing in his office. He was just looking over the profits that he was making so far, when his telephone rang.

Pete: *Answers* Hello, this is the Cheyenne Train Station of the Union Pacific. Pete Reimer speaking.
P.S.M: Pete? I've got one of your workers here at my station. He's saying that he helped me with chargement baggage on a passenger train.
Pete: What the hay? I suspended him from work for three months, two weeks ago.
P.S.M: Really? Because he helped out really well. Right now, he's chargement up another train.
Pete: I'll be right there. *Leaves station*
Hawkeye: *Waiting for train*
Pete: Pierce, I have to go down into Portland to go get Gordon. Until I return, you're in charge.
Hawkeye: Yes sir *Salutes Pete*
Pete: This is a railroad, not the army. *Leaves station*
Hawkeye: Well this is great. I get a whole day, (or probably plus depending on how long Pete is out of town) to be in charge. Now what should I do first?
Stylo: *Arrives* Good morning Hawkeye.
Hawkeye: Hello Stylo, Pete's gone, and guess who's in charge.
Stylo: You?
Hawkeye: Yes sir.
Stylo: *Bows down* We're not worthy.
Hawkeye: No one except toi is worthy.
Stylo: Thank you. So, what plans do toi have while Pete is away?
Hawkeye: I don't know, I haven't thought about it yet. However, I do know that some tracks between here, and Omaha need to be fixed, so Percy, and Jeff should do that.
Stylo: That sounds pretty far away.
Hawkeye: No, I meant they had to go east, towards Omaha. The track they need to repair should only be a few miles away.
Orion: Good morning sir, Pete told me toi were in charge so toi must feu me.
Hawkeye: What for?
Orion: Because I vandalized something.
Hawkeye: Was it on Union Pacific property?
Orion: It was a car belonging to one of the passengers.
Hawkeye: *Sighs* Orion, toi don't seem to understand. Pete's not here, so your orders aren't going to be changed. Go, and drive a freight to Denver. After that, you'll be taking The City Of St. Foalis to St. Foalis.
Orion: Yes sir. *Walks away*
Stylo: So how does it feel to be in charge so far?
Hawkeye: Meh, about average. Give me some time, and then I'll tell toi what I really think.

ChibiEmmy Looks like Hawkeye is the Alicorn of the station at the moment. Though I don't get why Orion wants to be fired, it'd look better on his record if he quit. Then he'd only need need a reason why he quit and not a excuse why he got fired.

Seanthehedgehog He wants to leave the railroad, but for some strange reason, he thinks he'll get killed if he quits, but not if he gets fired.

ChibiEmmy There's a mafia behind the scenes?

Seanthehedgehog Yeah, but it doesn't have to do with anything that Orion is trying to do.

Con: *Gets in car* P, set up an airstrike on the Ice Hotel.
P: Roger that.

Zao: *Sees snowmobile*
Chinese Pony7: *Crashes into car*
Zao: *sees crash* All units report, now!
Con: *Drives off*

Zao: *Runs to his car, and puts on thermal imaging* I see toi now. *Activates machine gun*
Con: *Driving faster*
Zao: *Shoots at Con with machine gun*
Car: Warning: Too much damage. Adaptive Camouflage turned off....

There's long been rumors as to how, exactly, rainbows are made in Equestria. While a great amount of Pegasi ponies are employed in the arc en ciel department of the weather factory, almost all of them do the low-end work. What's know is that great streams of Spectra, the individual colours of the rainbow, flow through large grates and into vast vats. Here are some reasons I think Pinkie Pie is better than arc en ciel Dash.

1. Pinkie Pie doesn't tend to montrer off ou brag about her accomplishments.

2. Pinkie doesn't care about being cool. She just wants to have fun.

3. Pinkie will go out of her way just to make somepony else happy while arc en ciel is just in it for the glory.

4. Pinkie sings plus and has a prettier voice. (Who cares if she sometimes does it randomly out of nowhere?)

5. arc en ciel Dash can be a little bossy to Fluttershy while Pinkie just tries to help Fluttershy out of her shell in a cute, cheerful way.
