In my opinion, musique is a way of conveying your feelings towards a particular subject. Virtually every song has SOME sort of purpose ou meaning to it when toi think about it.
Rave songs are meant to make toi feel energetic. Speed metal makes toi want to do the mile. l’amour songs are meant to make toi in a romantic mood (or even horny, in some cases. XD) animé openings prepare toi for an adventure
When I think of what musique means to me, what first comes to mind is the way it has helped me with my anxiety, whether that’s directly (calming down/relaxing/energizing par listening to music) ou indirectly (motivating me to do something with my l’amour of musique as a way of bettering myself). Coincidentally, that’s what led me to this site as well as a few more; I feel the need to somehow connect with others that enjoy the same musique as me.
musique for me, ideally, is an escape and provides a sense of fellowship.
