"Maybe for New Years but I have too many proposals to work on during Christmas. Why do toi ask?"
They were still in that weird non-couple couple point in their relationship. They were spending alot of time together at her place and his, but neither had a dit "I l’amour You," ou described the other as a girlfriend ou boyfriend yet. Cuddy wanted him to ask her to spend Christmas with him but she wasn't going to drop any hints. She wanted him to decide this all on his own.
"I just wondered if I would have a week free of your stockings drying on my douche curtain."
"I'm so sure. Do toi want some egg nog? I added some of that rhum toi like."
"I'll take a mug of that...So, you're spending Christmas here then?"
He got up and joined her on the sofa. She pulled a blanket over them and handed him his drink.
"Yeah, Christmas in Princeton."
"I have a tradition of ordering Chinese take out from Wong's and watching Ground Hog's jour on Christmas Day. Wilson usually comes over and we drink a couple of beers...He's going to visit his family in Maine this year. Do toi want to partake in cheap bière and greasy Chinese?"
Cuddy smiled warmly at him and instead of answering, she kissed him lightly on the mouth.
"So, that's a yes?" he a dit with a grin.
"Yes. It's sounds fun. But Ground Hog's jour isn't a Christmas film, House?"
"I know but it's still festive and Bill Murray's in it so what plus can toi ask for?"
Cuddy shook her head as she smiled. Noticing a stray eyelash on his cheek she brushed it off softly. House leaned into her touch.
"I know it's customary to give presents on Christmas jour but when have I done the customary thing?" he a dit as he pulled out a manila folder with a red bow wrapped around it, that was hidden in his jacket.
"A present? I'm surprised."
"Just open it."
Cuddy pulled off the bow and opened the file to find an x-ray of what appeared to be a heart.
"You give me a chest x-ray? This is...nice."
"Jeez, Cuddy. Look at the name on the file."
It read: Patient- House,Gregory
"It's your cœur, coeur x-ray. It's your heart...You're giving me your heart," she a dit pulling the file close to her chest as if it was the most precious possession she ever held.
"It's sappy isn't it."
"Yeah, but sometimes sappy's good," she a dit as she leaned closer to him.
"So, toi like it then?" he asked looking down at his hands.
"I do." she a dit putting a hand on his cheek forcing him to look at her. His eyes were so full of hope and fear.
"House?"
"Yeah?"
"I l’amour toi too."
House let out a sigh of relief and pulled her face to meet his in a joyful kiss.
