ok.... So I really apologize for my 'not completely explained' link

I was a bit tired, and I couldn't really explain what, in fact I was asking...
So, I want to explain it, and discuss it, and hopefully, have toi discuss it as well ;)

So, here we go ;)


The first thing I asked myself, and what we all asked ourselves, was why the heck is Cuddy dating Lucas. We all got the impression that she was this House-loving, masochist, and ... she turned out to be, well, just a masochist.
And this all Cuddy change got me thinking...

I got an impression, Cuddy wanted to have House part removed from the person she was.
She somehow forgot all the things she stood for, and all the things she acted on.

She somehow pushed a little part of her aside, trying to déplacer on with her life, trying to work things out.
I guess she realized she had to change once she what not-changing had done to House.

And what do toi do when toi want to change?
toi bring in the new aspects to your life, try to keep yourself occupied with something, try not to think about the person toi were 'not' anymore.

toi try to ignore and remove everything made toi miserable, miserable and pathetic before.
For Cuddy, it was House and the way she was around him.

He played her out, so many times. He made her feel lonely, weak. He made her feel like a failure.
Why wouldn't she want to get something like that out of her life?

Cuddy is not a complete person without House.(some may disagree but) Of course she isn't.
She's 38 and she's known him for 20 years. That's plus than half her life.
When someone is so long beside you, having such strong impact, he becomes a part of you.
House has certainly become a part of Cuddy, and vice-versa.

How do toi get someone out of your life when doing that means losing a part of you?

Yes, she think she needs to change, but does she want to, really?
Never give up on thing once made toi smile

Cuddy was surely miserable around House, but she sure loved it as well.

And how could she say goodbye to something that made her feel special, that made her feel smile?

There's a catch.
She didn't

She just simple ran away from all that.
First step, dating Lucas.
She doesn't actually need Lucas. She was perfectly fine par herself, Rachel was fine as well.
What she needs Lucas for is to keep House away from her.
What better way to get a man out of your life than get another one in?

Lucas is there to tell her she is doing right. She needs that. She needs someone to tell her it's good that she changed (or rather 'changed')
Wilson is certainly not going to tell her that.
And she's constantly seeking his approval.

She also needs (and Wilson gladly pointed this out) House's approval.
She needs him to tell her it's ok, that she can let go.
That she, in fact, needs to change. That she's better off without him

However, what she truly needs is her own approval.
That, she can't get.

How can she when she hasn't truly changed?

She seeks for excuses-

House is not right for Rachel.
-she proved herself wrong some years before - 'If I'd trust anyone to save my baby, it would be doctor House' and 'Someone like you?'

House let her down so many times.
-wrong again- he maybe was not supportive at times but he was always there for her (fertility injections)

'There is no us, there never will be'
-another wrong (good Cuddy isn't participating in Jeopardy XD)- 'Everybody knows this is going somewhere', she a dit it!


She seeks for them, and can't find them,
and she keeps pushing herself (moving in with Lucas), trying to really change.
But she ends up getting back to her old self (tricking House on Thanksgiving's- typical Cuddy)

Because she can't really run away from it all, she can't run away from House.
She just simply can't.

Because, she herself said-
'For better ou for worse toi are a part of my life'

and toi can't really escape something when no matter how far toi go, it's a part of you.


She will realize that this sort of change isn't good, she'll soon realize she's making a big mistake,
she'll soon come back crawling back to House, to the only person that completes her.
I actually wish they met half way.

She will soon ask herself something she asked House plus than a an ago-
'Why do toi need to negate everything?'


I hope that made sense now ;) I just wanted to share my thought with you, again XDDDDD
