They hadn’t spoke since their last meeting a few weeks ago, which was surprising. Normally he would hunt her down and annoy her, just to be annoying. But, he hadn’t even done that. Although, she wasn’t complaining, she enjoyed her quite time, ou at least while it lasted.
“Is your hair black ou brown?” He said, coming up behind her. Taking his hand and flopping the back of her hair up and down.
“Would toi stop that.” She turns around, sitting on the bench on campus grounds.
“Ask nicely and I will.”
“Would toi stop that, please?” She saids the last word, slowly and sweetly.
“That’s better.”
She nods, and continues to read the book in her hands.
“Why is it every time I see you, you’re reading?”
“Why is it every time I see you, you’re annoying?”
“Wrong answer, the correct answer was, ‘because I have no social life.’
“I have a social life, it just doesn’t involve you, and that kills you.”
“Yes, it’s breaking me apart, if I only I could be in your book club.”
“That is not where I hang out for ‘social time’. And, how did toi know I was in a book club?” She asks, turning around with a curious look.
“Are toi really asking me that?” He nods and looks downward at the book.
She rolls her eyes.
“What are toi doing here?”
“That’s a little rude. Can’t a guy just come and irritate someone?”
“Go irritate someone else.”
“No, you’re my favorite.”
Her brows scrunch down, in a confusing look.
“By favorite, I meant you’re the best to agitate, because toi get so mad.”
He states, expressing a joyfulness look at the thought of her getting angry, the look she wanted to claque, smack right off of his face.
She gives a quick smirk.
“Alright.”
He squinches his eyes for a moment.
“Why aren’t toi throwing some commentaire back?”
“No need.”
“No need, because?
“I’m not giving toi what toi want. And, what toi want is a retort, and I’m not giving it.”
He smirks, but only for a short second.
He looks around, then, breathes out a little too loudly.
“Are toi busy tonight?”
“Yes.”
“Oh for God sakes, toi don’t need to study every night.”
“Actually, I have a date.”
His jaw drops, slightly. He nods his head, and speaks.
“By date, I meant the going out to dinner, then back to the dorm for hot, hot sex.”
He gives a half smile.
“Who’s the guy?”
She stands up, smirks, and walks away.

When does l’amour become something we need, rather than something we want? l’amour was seen as something special a long time ago. Now l’amour is what we are expected to have with us everyday of our lives. l’amour is common currency when toi are a teenager, but turns to worthless pennies the older toi get. Do we not care about the substance of what l’amour was and not what it has been made into today par commercialisation from American films and télévision commercials and soap operas? Only when we experience l’amour for real, can we commentaire and judge others who are in Love. l’amour means something different to everyone. Not two people’s feeling of l’amour is the same. Why do we generalize, rationalize and compartmentalize Love? l’amour is and will continue to be an enigma. Only a handful of people will ever unlock it and witness its true beauty and essence. The essence we all crave.
