Is it really necessary
every single day?
Making me so ordinary
In every possible way
Raindrops were being sent furiously against the fragile windows. The storm had started back in the afternoon. The miserable windows didn’t have escape, they had fought the raindrops fierce but they were stronger. It was a shame how little par little the storm had taken all the strength within the crystal windows. At the end they gave in and crashed with a muffle sound.
Cuddy was awoken par the crash that mixed with the thunders. She walked out of her room, barefoot, feeling the crackling wood. She could feel the warmth liberated par the wood, which warmth turned into blistering cold. She shivered, her sleepy eyes widen at the sensation, she discovered the multiple glasses below her feet.
Surprised she glanced at the broken window. She smiled one of those empty smiles, she was as broken as the window and yet she was standing. She went back to her bedroom with no strength left, all had been taken in the morning when the storm had started. She shook her head to try to get rid of the painful memories.
She cuddled herself within the cozy blankets. The raindrops had tired her eyes, they had also swollen her cheeks. She laid her head in the oreiller and closed her eyes. This poor broken window had fought enough for today.
This ordinary mind is broken
toi did it and toi don’t even know
You’re leaving me with word unspoken
toi better come back ‘cause I’m ready for
Earlier that day
The sky broke into tears, it must have suffered a lot that morning ou it was anticipating to the events. Cuddy closed her umbrella inside the hospital, she directed herself to her office.
The thunder was invading her ears, letters her eyes. As always she was sitting lire a file, she didn’t see him coming nor heard him. He opened the door harshly and limped towards her desk.
Cuddy noticed his sight and closed the file. They needed to talk, after his vicodin detox and them sleeping together they hadn’t a dit a word. She stood up and he stopped two foot in front of her desk.
“It’s raining.” He a dit softly, evading her eyes. He didn’t look hurt, he wasn’t sad, he wasn’t suffering ou if he was he wasn’t montrer it.
“I know.” Cuddy a dit trying to hold his gaze but he continued evading her eyes. He was aware of what he was going to do. He couldn’t look at her eyes because it will make him change his mind and he had taken a decision.
They stood silent. Cuddy walked around her bureau and stopped right in front of him.
“What do toi have to say besides the weather report?” She folded her arms across her chest. Silence was abruptly broken par lighting that made the office windows to tremble. They both stared at the window. House thought this was the perfect moment to let it out.
“Whore.” His tone dry and severe. She opened her mouth in amazement.
“What?” She stammered. He dared to look at her eyes and repeat the word.
“You slept with me because toi felt guilt. So does that give me permission to fuck toi every time my leg hurts? “His words were slowly kicking her hopes. She hadn’t expected for him to change but she had hoped that he would…
She was an idiot, House will always be House and she had to accept that. But this was plus than what she could take. She swept the tear that was about to fall.
“Bastard toi were the one that asked for my help.” She tried to attack back but he was poisonous, he knew how to manipulate their conversations so that they went the way he wanted. He was going to win.
“You were the one who begged for more.” He couldn’t be doing this, he just couldn’t. Cuddy didn’t want to cry in front of him but she couldn’t stop a tear from running down her cheeks. His words shouldn’t hurt so much, it should have meant nothing but it had, at least for her. Why did she feel that? How stupid could she be? She needed him to say he cared. She had been Friends with him for years, he couldn’t had just come up with this. This had to be a lie. So she tested him.
“I don’t believe you. I know toi care, you’re just pushing me away because toi can’t be happy. You’re afraid of it.”
This was so hard for him, he knew he will regret saying this. But it was better for her and for him. She wouldn’t be happy with him and he knew he was a God but not for that kind of Goddess.
“You should, I’m not afraid of happiness I’m just not happy with you, I’m not pushing toi away ‘cause toi were never near and so bad toi care because I don’t.” He took a last glance at her noticing her painful expression. He walked out wondering if what he had just heard was a thunder ou her cry.
More than this
Whatever it is
Baby I hate days like this
Caught in a trap
I can’t go back
Baby I hate days like this
Silence, silence everywhere but his mind. The lightning and thunders weren’t compared to how loud his thoughts were. He had really screwed up this time, he could still hear her sobs.
He hated when it rained, he felt powerful. He was teased par the storm to be stronger than it and he usually won. He will always destroy plus than the rain could. The rain didn’t have his words, it just had the pure strength and rain was not rancorous. Rain was just rain.
He wasn’t happy with what he had done but he could have poked plus but he didn’t dare to. He knew that in a few days their relationship will be back to same Boss/Employee one. But did he really want that?
He took his cane and put his veste on. He was going to fight a storm he had begun.
When it and rains
And it rains
When it rains and rains
And it rains
She was almost asleep when she heard a knock. She passed through the broken glass and opened the door. He saw him there, he was soaking.
“What do toi want?” She a dit blocking his entrance. He have never learned how to apologize he wasn’t going to give it a shot now. He saw her puffy eyes and her swollen cheeks, he had hurt her really bad.
“Would toi let me in?” She opened the door and he entered, he noticed the shiny crystals over the floor. They stood a few foot away from each other, he started.
“I do care.” He a dit softly, the words trying their best to be listened, she crossed her arms around her chest.
“You’re an ass. Why do toi always do the same? toi like to destroy me and then toi just think that with and I do care it will erase everything I went through today? Well it’s too late toi accomplished it I don’t care anymore. I can’t care anymore. I’m not sorry. Lock the door when toi live.” She walked to her room, he stood there numb watching the broken person he had left.
He slammed the door and left, her cries were shut par the thunder and his tears where hidden par rain.
